I don't read every new book by her anymore, but earlier this year I read 'Hetty Feather' after a friend recommended it and I really liked the character and her story.

Though Hetty feels equally unwelcome among her foster family, she receives a warm welcome from Jem and befriends his childhood friend, Janet. Growing up in the Foundling Hospital is hard, but life is even harder, after Hetty's mother, Ida, dies. I really liked this trilogy and how hetty found her father, I love that he was such a lovely person, she has suffered such hardship.
