About this deal
I’ve been in situations where I’m a leader and also when I’ve been a team member, where it’s open to the floor. There is an interesting tension between Foxy and the therapist whom he credits for playing a major role in his recovery. But I really like Foxy, and I found his story about his road to recovery following PTSD to be both interesting and important. If something’s not going to be helping to achieve that, deal with it but not in a confrontational way.
You can tell the ex forces boys are dying to rip each other to bits and only disclose little snippets from what they got up to. Ness Knight is an explorer who has completed a diverse collection of expeditions in extreme environments around the globe. Inspiring and a proper kick up the backside to go and achieve my purpose, whilst reading this book I have landed a new position and looking forward to my new chapter.
I am impressed with how Fox opens up, and it does appear to be a follow on from Battle Scars (the first of Fox’s literary efforts), with certain elements of his mental health explored some more, but ultimately, providing the reader with his solutions to battle through the fog. Everyone high fives and says, “we did an amazing job,” and then buggers off and gets on with the contract.
We at Penguin Random House Australia acknowledge that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are the Traditional Custodians and the first storytellers of the lands on which we live and work.
At a time when talking about mental health is so important, I think this is a very important book and should be read by many.
