About this deal

Amy and Lord Kentigern were too focused on other people’s relationships that it left their own kind of underdeveloped. Hero may have been oblivious, but he had some shockingly dirty lines come out of his mouth for someone who didn't want to Fall In Love. Konrad (H) was a typical hero of Alice Coldbreath's again, a grumpy knight who doesn't communicate well, does something stupid, and has to redeem himself.

When heiress Hastings Trent is joined with warrior Severin Langthorne in marriage, she must uncover the mystery surrounding a secluded estate known as Rosehaven. The Coldbreath series [Vawdrey, Brides of Karadok, and Prizefighters] are something I’m currently reading and rereading obsessively. Once the world’s most legendary sorcerer, Lorre fled the Middle Lands after his own curiosity -- and a misguided transformation spell -- turned him into a dragon and nearly killed a king. The biggest problem was that for all that was written, I finished the book thinking Aimee was really kinda boring and didn't really develop. Also, what we learn about Konrad felt very limited and superficial, and because of that I had a hard time connecting with him at all.

I also found their first time together kind of refreshing; It wasn’t sugar-coated or made into this magical experience that is often very unrealistic. I’m not saying, that Ms Coldbreath should stop writing about Karadok, but I wish there was more effort being put in. And maybe then we could have explored Konrad's backstory and it would've felt less like reading about Aimee's husband being rude, most times unintentionally uncaring, to her and watching her stick through it long enough for him to love her back.

Ebooks fulfilled through Glose cannot be printed, downloaded as PDF, or read in other digital readers (like Kindle or Nook).

Re the adverts: I’ve opened this on my android phone of some sort, and my ancient and venerable macbook, and haven’t had a problem (yet). She might have been a little naïve, but she was strong and went after what she wanted, she didn’t let people step all over her and when things didn’t go the way she had expected, she still kept going and worked at it. The Duke of Huntington has no interest in an eccentric redhead who frowns at him over her spectacles…until he realizes that she is the only possible duchess for him. While I enjoyed the book, I thought the conflict between the two dragged on too long and was a bit too soap opera for my tastes.
