As we settled in at our table, we began chatting with the couple beside us, who were celebrating their anniversary. Going back to countries I have visited is not usually something I enjoy but now I know that I had no clue of the wealth of cultural treasures that each different region in Italy holds. With its elaborate masks, colorful costumes, and enchanting atmosphere, it transports visitors to a world of fantasy and mystery.
It is not a question of age or of months spent together, but of languages…love languages, which Italy speaks so well. Italy is a wine lover's paradise, with vineyards scattered throughout the country producing a staggering variety of wines. While I was focusing on figuring out my major, career path and which sorority would accept me, Italian feel HARD by the wayside. The Atlantic Palace has had a makeover since we were there in 2013 and it looks all kind of swish now!
Thankfully the hotel had a semi-regular shuttle bus down to, and most importantly, up from, the town.

As always, I struggled though my language classes and never put any more time than necessary into them. It seemed like hours passed as I sat enjoying a meal of linguine and clams, probably pulled from the Ligurian Sea that morning, along with a nice glass of local wine.
