About this deal

And, just like that, Zara’s on a plane to Milan to crash the most talked-about engagement of the year! I found that this third book was written very well and was well-balanced, indicative of the ‘grown-up’ Zara who features in this book, compared with the other two books in the series.

Sofia Gravia is a total genius, and I won't hear anything otherwise (maybe I'm slightly biased since she's a Glaswegian like myself). At a young age, she found herself writing funny stories or poems to friends and family for special occasions, and after high school she undertook a performing arts diploma, flourishing in her creative writing class. She is single and joins an online dating site to find Mr right- however, her life suddenly spirals out of control. Thank you Sophie for providing this lighthearted, relatable series laced some Glasgow humour - it’s been a real joy to read. I didn’t expect the book to be about her sex life complete with explicit detail or the crude language which spiralled into vulgarity . Looking past the tomfoolery upon which the story stands, Zara's character truly evolves in this book.

It is crude, straight to the point and as usual full of laughs, Sophie spins her tales with a natural comedic flare. These guides are still packed full of inspiration and have plenty of great tips for things to see, do, eat and drink, but we can't be sure that every place we've recommended is still open or quite the same as it was when we wrote about it. She overthinks and spirals… but Ashley is always there to give her a good shake and get her going again. The shocking news of the summer is that Tom – the ex Zara always thought would never settle down – is ENGAGED to beloved actress and all-natural beauty Quinn Foxx.Unfortunately this book was way below expectations, the story line is very predictable, weird and not original. I love the ending of Zara and Tom, I was constantly wondering throughout the book where it would end, would Zara finally be happy with Tom or would she find another man in Milan? It's been a while since we updated some of our city guides, in that time the world has changed a lot. I hadn’t read the previous two books , other reviewers mentioned humour , I saw little of that in this book. Read this book on holiday easy read, I did enjoy Glasgow Kiss more and feel Zara was more of a villain in this novel.

There is no depth to the characters, the main character is a super annoying, spoiled girl showing a terrible example to everyone who reads this book. I feel she did redeem herself somewhat and I do feel that her friends are a lot more forgiving that I would be in a lot of scenarios. She isn’t planning to go until she finds an old note from Tom that shows their feelings for each other were once mutual. I found the first and second books were a little disappointing and had poor grammar at parts and were a little too crude for me, although I really enjoyed the storyline. Her storytelling is completely gripping, her characters enjoyable, and her awkward scenarios induce just the right amount of toe-curling cringe.

She isn't planning to go until she finds an old note from Tom that shows their feelings for each other were once mutual. It was a cute ending to the series and as much as Zara was terrible friend and girlfriend this book I love how she is gaining some midgen of self respect LOL! In 2020, Sophie started writing again as a distraction from the ongoing pandemic, cheered on by fans of her hilarious blog, 'Sex in the Glasgow City'. I did feel that Zara had her head more screwed on in this book with regards to what she wanted out of life.I’m glad that Zara and Andy didn’t work out, I didn’t like him as a character at all, he was very controlling and I’m glad Zara found her way out. She really knew how to grasp her audience and knew how to draw you in wanting to know more, unable to put the book down! Although Zara still did some really stupid things and was still a little slutty a couple of times, I felt like on the whole she had really grown.
