This was only an issue with the R5 and I believe that it’s something to do with the wired communication to the wheel rim. It’s an issue pretty much every sim racing outlet with hands-on the SRP Lite pedals raised, so much so MOZA released an ‘ SRP Lite Performance Kit’ to put the literal feeling back into the brake pedal.

In the future, the Moza ecosystem will take this into account, so that the steering wheels and the base can be adapted to each other. As I mentioned earlier, there is a noticeable difference between the force feedback strength from this R5 wheel base compared to the R9.Not only has MOZA Racing just released one of the best formula-style sim racing wheels, the FSR formula wheel. The one saving grace is that you can completely change the linearity curve of each pedal using Moza’s Pit House software. The GS does also feel really good but the extra diameter (300mm) gives you slightly less crisp force feedback.

It is always good to have a rotary encoder of some kind, even just one as not only does it allow for a different form of input in game.

One major thing before I wrap up this review is that the quick release connection has changed slightly on the R5 base, and previous MOZA wheels don’t appear to be compatible.
