About this deal

These woods originate from trees belonging to the Dalbergia genus and are found in tropical regions across South America, Africa, and Asia. The color and grain of teakwood make it a highly sought-after material for furniture, flooring, and other decorative applications. UV Weathering is the most difficult to control, while keeping the wood looking natural. Using a properly formulated and lightly pigmented product like Aussie Clear or Aussie Coat. They will slow the weathering process down over time, but won’t completely stop it. So you need to regularly maintain them over time. Think of it like sunscreen if you’re out in the sun. You have reapply throughout the day to prevent you getting badly burnt, but it won’t completely stop it. One thing Charlton gets right is Peter and Cooper's romance. The way he describes the experience of being in love, even when there are challenges, feels raw and real. It's just unfortunate that the main conflict is a drawn-out mystery that finally unravels in an almost non-sensical fashion, with characters making assumptions and revelations that didn't make much sense to me. This time around, the novel's strength definitely lies in the romance—and it's what you will be rooting for by the end of the book. With Cooper’s new found connection to the Dead, Peter’s suspicions about what he might do next grow. Faced with losing the boy he loves, Peter must uncover the truth about the mysterious Timberdark before their future together and the world around them is placed in danger.

The horror elements are absolutely on point. The herds of zombie have lost some of their threat, though there is one nail-biting sequence with them, but there's a new and totally terrifying killer in there who really chilled me! For the timber to grey off, it needs to be exposed to UV from the sun. Therefore if you wan’t to apply a finish or preservative to the timber, to get one that will not stop that process. I therfore recommend Radial Timber Sealer. This will act as a short term water repellent/sealer, which will assist with the dimensional stability while new. It will allow the timber to season without the rapid drying issues that can occur and therefore minimise warping, splitting, cupping issues that are typical even of kiln dried timber when it’s exposed to the weather. The good thing is that it does not contain any UV agent to prevent grey weathering. The color of ebony wood can also be influenced by factors such as the tree’s growing conditions, age, and the part of the tree from which the wood is harvested. As someone who typically rolls their eyes at depictions of romance in novels, I have to say I really enjoyed this one. The way love is handled here felt so damn realistic. The author seems to be skilled at capturing the real, raw, and human side of emotions.

As the story develops, Charlton really hones in on an anti-capitalist agenda, which makes sense but feels heavy-handed. Whilst we had hints of this in the previous novel, Charlton really spells it out for us in Timberdark, particularly with a monologue towards the end of the novel. It's an interesting take, and fitting for a dystopian novel because it encourages us to question whether our reality is the real dystopia (as corny as that may sound). All in all, I'm glad this social commentary is developed but could have been executed with more nuance. First of all, for anyone not familiar with book one in this series, Wranglestone, yes it is a gay zombie Western. In a post-apocalyptic world, human survivors eke out an existence on the islands of a lake on a nature reserve, protected from the zombies stalking the land by the water, except when it ices over in winter. In this bleak, harsh existence, Peter and Cooper find love with each other. Cooper, with his Stetson and his faded jeans and his beloved horse is the quintessential cowboy, and I loved how making him gay did so much to subvert traditional tropes and open up new possibilities for storytelling. It is known for its reddish-brown color and distinctive grain pattern, which has made it a popular choice for furniture, flooring, and decorative woodwork. Peter and Cooper’s relationship drives the narrative. The fear of losing Cooper pervades all of Peter’s actions and dominates the telling of the story and, for me, probably takes up too much space. Otherwise, this is a highly enjoyable read with an original take on the fantasy/zombie genre with a gay relationship at its heart. A critique of consumer capitalism also makes a welcome appearance, with an intriguing suggestion about how it was undermined in this alternative reality. The color of teakwood tends to darken over time with exposure to sunlight and air, giving it a rich patina.

A thrilling and thought-provoking sequel to the winner of the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize for Older Readers, WRANGLESTONE. I think the book was trying to show us that the world as it is now is very bad and the true way of life is living off the land, but it didn't manage to portray this in a way I could understand. It's idea was to show a monotony of life under capitalism, but to a reader that's happy at home right now with their laptop and books, I also felt like a day to day of gardening and I don't know, sitting on a boat fishing also seemed monotonous. Beautiful natural color, attractive grain patterns, excellent working properties, sustainable choice. Flooring, cabinetry, furniture, decorative veneers, musical instruments, boat building, exterior millwork.Cooper isn't so sure. He harbours feelings from that terrible night on the lake and worse, a secret ... codename, Timberdark. The external timber cladding of this self build is painted in Farrow & Ball's Down Pipe. The cladding was going to be left natural but the homeowners didn't like the idea of how the difference elevations would weather. So, they bought the cladding pre-painted. Why Use Timber Cladding? With the tide turned against the Dead, Peter and the remaining community on Wranglestone prepare to leave for town, where the comforts of the world before await them. Could this be the home that finally brings both safety and unity for all? Cooper isn't so sure. He harbours feelings from that terrible night on the lake and worse, a secret... codename, Timberdark. With Cooper's new found connection to the Dead, Peter's suspicions about what he might do next grow. Faced with losing the boy he loves, Peter must uncover the truth about the mysterious Timberdark before their future together and the world around them is placed in danger. Weathering is the biggest single, and most important cause of discolouration. There are two main mechanisms behind this:
