The original game contained only logic and lateral thinking puzzles, while later editions added other types of brain teasers including tangrams and stick puzzles. If you do ask a question that isn’t related to the answer, the other team can just sit there like Jonathan Creek; fully understanding the answer and quietly enjoying seeing us agonise over it.

I honestly think the game would have been better off just keeping track of how many questions each player got correct and that player would win the game. Such cards often follow the adventures of Detective Shadow, who repeatedly decodes the crimes and plots of Sid Shady, whilst failing to actually have him sent to prison for 50 separate counts of robbery.Use trick questions and brain teasers for bonding between employees in your office, avoiding boredom, and to challenge your friends. Compared to Black Stories 50 cards you can’t complain about the quantity of cards included with either game.

Some trick questions are funny, some are a play on words, and some involve looking at things differently. Mindtrap, the board game, is great for larger groups and is a fun game that involves everyone's expertise.Despite this, Cheatwell brought MindTrap back to the UK in 2021, featuring well over 500 conundrums for teams to solve; but does this traditional party game format hold up to the ever-rising standards of modern gamers? I don’t understand the reasoning behind this as the gameboard for MindTrap 2 is not great but at least you don’t have to worry about running out of gamesheets. Lateral thinking problems are identified by a diamond on the question side of the card, indicating that answering team are allowed to ask "yes/no" questions about the puzzle scenario. MindTrap 2 uses a board instead of gamesheets so you move your piece instead of crossing off spaces. If you want challenging logic puzzles I also wouldn’t recommend either game since I wouldn’t consider the puzzles to be really challenging in either game.
