I'm not terribly sciencey so I can't speak with full authority to the bits of the book that talk about the scientific facts about crystals, but they did seem fairly accurate when compared to my hazy memory of geology. All used books might have various degrees of writing, highliting and wear and tear and possibly be an ex-library with the usual stickers and stamps. The only down thing with this book and a lot others is that the spine of the book creases quite bad when having it open at a particular section.
