About this deal

The author putting clues was kind of common for a detective-murder story which even anybody would guess easily. Highly recommended for those of you who want a break from all the doom, gloom and violence in many crime fiction books and who don't mind a bit of dark humour. I thought the basic premise for the story was appealing, and I enjoyed several scenes, but I found the way in which the mystery played out was disappointing.

This deeply personal and supportive series offers listeners an honest and relatable insight into how some the UK's best-known celebrities have coped with mental health difficulties, ranging from OCD to insomnia, addiction to grief, and depression to anxiety. As the residents turn to the duo with suspicion and begin to freeze them out, Margery and Clementine are left with more questions than answers. When Billy can’t find the informant, he wonders if Kate is secretly harboring her, since the two grew close during Kate's weeks undercover. MY THOUGHTS: There have been a few good muder-mysteries released this year featuring older protagonists. There she is given the chance to undo her regrets and try out each of the other lives she might have lived. I was hoping that The Dinner Lady Detectives was going to join the group but it became evident very early on that this was not to be.

The people of Japan believe that everyone has an ikigai - a reason for being; the thing that gets you out of bed each morning.

In this controversial and exciting listen, Pollan explores caffeine’s power as the most-used drug in the world - and the only one we give to children (in soda pop) as a treat.

I love classic mysteries--the closest modern equivalent is the cozy-- and especially enjoy those with a British setting so I had high hopes for this one. This is full of everyday humour about both the investigation and the issues of living in a small town and working with other people. And according to the residents of the Japanese island of Okinawa - the world's longest-living people - finding it is the key to a longer and more fulfilled life. And as more people in the village start to become unwell, the question remains, is The Poisoner back, or is this the work of a new killer?

Margery and Clementine are a lovely couple and their colleagues are the usual mix of people with faults who make up this world. A much-used word, karma is loosely understood as a system of checks and balances in our lives, of good actions and bad deeds, of good thoughts and bad intentions. The writing is okay in this one, even though there are some unlikely events, some TSTL moments, and the main characters behave as if they are at least 20 years older than they are supposed to be. We work closely with publishers and authors to ensure that we offer the best books on the market for your child.Slow paced but that would have been ok but damn the things that were sort of meant as “oh look that sort of funny thing happened in the past” were on the whole quite mean. It is a delightful cozy read and easy to do if you want something in between books that have been a bit hard going, this is a nice one to pick up read in a couple of days. It has to have the right balance of cute, quaint, edge, suspense, mystery, and engaging characters that keep me interested from book to book. British Culture, showed everywhere throughout the book in the perfect amount of understanding as a non-English.
