About this deal

While he is skeptical at first, he does and the two discover that they feel alive after their fight, and decide to do it more often. David Fincher's 'Fight Club,' ten years on, is just as cutting edge and in-your-face as it was a decade ago.

Fincher has been responsible for two of the best Blu-ray discs this year (with 'Zodiac' and 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'), and now he's responsible for a third. Considering the lackluster FIGHT CLUB offerings in metal packaging in the UK this feels like a breathe of fresh air . Both these things could be explained by frequency selective contrast boosting which would make both more visible. An insomniac office worker and a devil-may-care soapmaker form an underground fight club that evolves into something much, much more.It is not the most favored in the series for most, but it has a distinct personality and is a shocking contrast to the other entries in the series. It’s so grimy and primordial that many years after its release, the ripple effect of its power can still be felt within cinema itself. Selected night scenes from the film were 5% flashed at the laboratory, which boosts contrast and enhances detail in the darker parts of the frame. The much-publicized Easter Egg of this disc is a very comical but false opening menu for Never Been Kissed , which transitions into the real menu: a 360 degree view of the apartment menu from the original DVD, but now also featuring the Paper Street house kitchen, as well.

I suspect that this transfer was done at the same time as the Newline transfer of Se7en, and likely on the same hardware, a Spirit telecine machine to D5 HD video tape. While I expected more energy from him, I still found the track to be filled with information and anecdotes. This is a great inclusion, and really shows the level of detail to be found within the house and the movie as well. Fight club was photographed by Jeff Cronenweth, a then hot and upcoming Cinematographer who until that point hadn’t shot a major feature, but did have the advantage of being Bladerunner cinematographer Jordan Cronenweth’s son.

They find their release from the prison of reality through underground fight clubs, where men can be what the world denies them. Best know for her work in English type dramas, such as Howard’s End, A Room With A View, A Merry War, and so on, she makes the transition to skank perfectly.Outstanding performances by Norton and Pitt are supported by a razor-sharp script and an arsenal of stunning visual effects that include computer animation and sleight-of-hand editing. There are a few moments which look somewhat muddy, but that is most likely an aesthetic decision rather than a fault of the transfer. A text screen describing what the scene is, and why it was changed or deleted precedes each scene in this section.

Preproduction Paintings- This shows a large gallery of concept paintings for many scenes, zooming in on details for many of the paintings.Behind the Scenes (SD) There are 16 separate micro-featurettes, back when DVD was all about "interactivity! Starting up an illegal Fight Clubs to provide an outlet for his aggression and frustration (and to potentially cure his insomnia), it's not long before “Jack” (Norton) and his new best friend, Tyler Durden (Pitt), realise that their lives, and their club, are rapidly spiralling out of control.
