About this deal

Through a combination of Insight, Innovation and Integrity, Save Water Save Money is the UK’s largest provider of water saving products and services, leading the way in water efficiency. The one shown has here a 50L capacity suitable for a smaller garden, however it comes in a variety of sizes up to a generous 350L.

Maurano Stone Effect Water Butt is another butt that is not only attractive, but doubles as a planter. Setting up this plastic water butt takes about 15 minutes , and that includes digging to level out the ground so that the legs are standing on a flat surface. By incorporating a beehive water butt into your outdoor space, you can enjoy the numerous benefits of rainwater collection and contribute to a more environmentally friendly garden.Larger water butts are available, going up to a capacity of several thousand litres, but these are generally too big for traditional gardens – they can take a long time to fill up, and be hard to tuck away. Some of our products will be shipped directly from suppliers and so might have slightly different timescales. If you’re looking for a high-quality water butt capable of storing a large volume of water, then the Harcostar 227 Litre Water Butt Kit won’t disappoint – it’s the best large water butt overall. There’ll be no need to tuck this one away in a hidden corner of your garden – it looks like it’s made from expensive terracotta (it’s actually made from a lightweight, weather-resistant recycled plastic) and is a great piece to have out on show. Adding a touch of class to your garden, the butt has a removable lid which allows you to use it as a planter as well if you wish.

The fact that it comes with a filler kit and legs is also handy, and I like that it’s made from recycled plastic. Beehive water butts feature a unique, eye-catching design that resembles a traditional beehive, rather than a normal big dark lump in the garden. All of the diverter kits or filler kits if you prefer the term, are setup so that you can fit onto a 68mm standard round downpipe or a standard 65mm square downpipe. Even when empty, it doesn’t rock about in the wind, and there’s definitely no moving it once it starts to fill. I opted for the Rainsaver Mini 100 litre Green Water Butt Double Kit that looked a bit snazzier (it’s right to the side of my extension collecting rain water directly off the house roof).Given this has been so good to me I am moving it up to second in the ranks ahead of the double mini water butt setup. Original Organics's Moroccan Beehive Water Butt has a good 150 litres capacity and comes complete with lid and twist tap. cm down from the top of the water butt, on the side facing the downpipe, and mark where the hole will go. The tap is a bit loose and therefore leaks (no surprise I think all of the water butts I’ve ever owned have). Turns out, I was wrong to doubt it – it may not seem very stable, but it held up to windy conditions for about a week before it started to collect rainwater, after which it became even sturdier.
