About this deal

Bury your foes in a relentless tide of claws with the Onslaught Swarm, one of the most terrifying assemblages of Tyranid monstrosities ever stuffed into a box. A massive Norn Emissary joins up with a Winged Hive Tyrant – which can also be built as a ground bound Hive Tyrant or Swarmlord – to lead a tide of 20 leaping, scything Hormagaunts and 10 ravening Genestealers, with a pair of Ripper Swarms to boot. Exalted of the Red Angel Those are the real highlights, but there are some other workhorse things here that’ll see use. The standard extra warlord trail option is incredibly welcome because boy howdy does this book support herohammer, and extra relics are as good as ever. You also keep access to Tellyporta, which is still tremendously helpful to have around, and a few other old favourites such as Grot Shields, Orks is Never Beaten’ and Hit ‘Em Harder. This has three things your Warlord can do every turn, each good for 3VP, with a cap of 5. The math makes almost no sense, but think of it as 3VP if you accomplish one of these, and 5VP if you get two. The TODO list is: Krumpin’. Pretty much all your must-have units will absolutely flatten enemy hordes, mostly in melee, but in the case of Flash Gitz also at range. If you somehow find yourself really needing even more of this, Burna Boyz out of Strategic Reserves or doing drive-bys are fine, and a full Warbiker unit with a Deffkilla Trike is another flexible tool that’s pretty strong. How Does This Faction Handle Enemy Tanks and Monsters? This is a new Beast Snagga Ork Boy – one of many we’re sure. GW also says these Orks are particularly large and strong in comparison with regular Boyz. So that does beg the question “are these Beast Snagga Orks ‘primaris’d version of Ork Boyz as well?” It’s quite possible they will be slightly larger than your older Orks – at least the Boyz might be.

Overall, there’s some perfectly strong stuff here, but amidst a very powerful book and a strong pedigree from recent releases these feel just the slightest bit weak. The likely consequence of that is that you’ll see lots of lists using multiple detachments to squeeze in maximum herohammer, as you care a little less about having loads of CP than some armies do. Kustom Jobs Fast-forward to the second edition of Warhammer 40,000 in 1993, Orks took pride of place in a huge launch box alongside their monopose Blood Angels nemeses. By now, the Boys had begun to shed some of their higher technology in favour of big axes and cemented their love for giant horned helmets.** Wings Note: Strategically, things are mostly unchanged. You’re still going to want Da Jump and Warpath in a list running lots of Boyz, and probably still have better ways to invest in damage than a Weirdboy tuned to throwing mortals (possibly including a Wurrboy). However, Fists of Gork goes up in value quite a bit, because the things you can do with characters in this book are deeply, deeply unpleasant. Beasthead PowersBeast Snaggas Gretchin are affectionately dubbed 'saddlegitz', and are a smidge braver than most members of their species. [2] Within Beast Snagga society, one is not considered a proper lad until they sport a scar or some sort of injury sustained at the jaws of their Squigs. This exemplifies the close attachment that Beast Snaggas have to Squigs. Besides mounts, they use Squigs for oil, messages, targeting, and more. [7] Beast Snagga Types The box is absolutely stuffed with Orks and ravenous squigs – not only do you get 26 new Ork miniatures, the set comes with an exclusive version of the new Ork codex with bespoke Beast Snagga artwork, a set of Ork datacards, and a transfer sheet. Boyz! T5 and AP-1 on choppas across the board means your basic Boyz, plus everything that shares their profile, are properly scary again.

Jabbin’ Fingerz: New power: WC6, one visible enemy unit within 18” subtracts 1 from their hit rolls for the turn. Probably a fine way to score points, most of the time, if you were planning to bully the other army in melee anyway, or if they have no significant punching threats. Really, really good when you’re on the hero-hammer plan too, as your opponent frankly isn’t going to take out multiple Squigosaurs in a fight in one turn. Ever. Really just no. Get Da Good Bitz (Shadow Operations) This is where Roar of Mork ended up – it still inflicts -1Ld to all enemies in range, but also tags one unit for -2 to Advance and Charge rolls. Pretty good! At the heart of every great Waaagh! are the Boyz. Beast Snaggas are some of the strongest and toughest Orks around, and you get a whopping 20 of them in the box. Read more about the new Beast Snagga Boyz here.Herohammer (Bosshammer?) Whips: Your characters are extremely strong, and help get a lot of units over the line in terms of killing power, especially against hull-heavy or monster-mash lists. A bunch of the Beast Snagga characters have Anti-Monster/Vehicle 4+ (and you have several ways of activating Devastating Wounds on them), so they help mitigate the increased toughness across the game. Squigosaur bosses (especially Mozrog) are also absurdly tough and potent, while Kaptin’ Badruk turns one unit of Flash Gitz into a serious force. Finally, Ghaz is still pretty great, adding a huge amount of heft to a Meganobz unit. As well as the incredible Beast Snagga Orks Army Set, you can grab some new t-shirts to show off your devotion to Gork (or possibly Mork). Themed around the new Beast Snaggas – they’re perfect to wear when you’re out hunting squigs or just want to show your love for Orks while playing Warhammer.
