It’s especially important to be aware of these ingredients because we are putting these products on our lips and we can easily consume them! Piece of cake, right? Almost. Like any DIY project, it may take some trial and error. Here are some added tips to make your beeswax lip balm a truly treasured present: While you can use whatever you like, we thought using a honey-flavoring oil would work well with the ethos of our balm as a beeswax product. However, flavoring oils are not natural, so if you care about this you might want to opt for an EO. Once the beeswax has melted, remove it from the heat and add a few drops of vitamin E oil. Vitamin E oil will help preserve the beeswax lip balm, so it has a longer shelf life.
