About this deal

All-glass optical components with high transmission coatings for enhanced image brighness and clarity The Celestron AstroMaster LT 76AZ reflector telescope includes a pair of three-element eyepieces offering a 50-degree apparent field of view—a 20mm for 45x and a 10mm for 90x. There are better eyepieces for sure, but both of the supplied oculars are acceptable in quality and feature glass optics and plenty of eye relief, which unfortunately are not always a given with such a low-priced scope. You will probably not need any other eyepieces for the LT 76AZ. Because your Powerseeker 76mm AZ appears to be a Newtonian design, there are (I assume) adjustments that can be made to the primary (the 76mm diameter) mirror and the secondary mirror (the small diagonal mirror at the front end of the tube). When you get more experienced you will learn that if you want a really good view at high magnification, you would want to "Collimate" (it's a word meaning "align") the mirrors. We can help you with that later on if you like. Celestron PowerSeeker-sarjan kaukoputket on suunniteltu antamaan ensimmäistä kaukoputkeaan ostavalle täydellisen yhdistelmän laatua, edullisuutta, ominaisuuksia ja tehoa. Edullinen teholuokassaan, nämä kaukoputket tarjovat aloittelijalle innoittavan määrän tehoa ja optista suorituskykyä helposti kuljetettavassa pakkauksessa.

The Celestron AstroMaster AZ telescopes all use the same mount, which shares much of its design with the EQ versions’ CG-3 mount and tripod, the only difference being the design of the mount head. It attaches to the LT 76AZ optical tube and other tubes with a standard Vixen-style dovetail saddle. The parts are a mix of cheap, fragile metal alloy castings and a huge amount of plastic parts, even in crucial places like the fasteners and clamps for the tripod legs. Features: Celestron PowerSeeker 76AZ Newtonian Telescope• Affordable telescope for beginning astronomer; portable yet powerful The Celestron PowerSeeker Accessory Kit is a great way to expand the enjoyment of your telescope. Inside the plastic, foam-lined carry case you’ll find these accessories:do you have an young relatives? you could pass the scope onto them when their birthday comes around! image_1" : "https://img.karkkainen.com/images/e_trim:4/f_auto,q_auto/v1/tuotekuvat/50234210447/celestron-powerseeker-76az-tahtikaukoputki.jpg" I can attach the barlow lens and the 20mm eyepiece into it, but the 4mm is giving me a few issues....such as I can't actually see through it, haha!

All-glass optical components with high transmission coatings for enhanced image brightness and clarity Try looking at a couple of large star clusters like M45 the Seven Sisters star cluster or the Double Cluster between Perseus and Cassiopeia, or even take a look at the "Great Nebula" M42 at the "sword" of Orion and tell us what you think of the views. Don't be disappointed if your view doesn't match the pretty pictures you see in magazines or books at first. Later on, some people get much larger telescopes that can present these Nebulae and clusters MUCH, MUCH brighter and with some interesting colors and much more detail, and cameras can enhance your observing and show you much color and detail as well. We can help you with these things as well.Comparing the Celestron Powerseeker 70AZ to something like a Celestron Powerseeker 127eq reflector telescope it does not require near the cool down time (the 127eq has two mirrors which need to acclimate to the outside temperature before use or extremely blurry images could result) and requires no maintenance or adjustments such as the collimation required by the 127eq. The 127eq also requires learning how to use an equatorial telescope mount whereas the alt/az mount on the 70AZ is pretty much intuitive even to children with no experience. This makes the Celestron Powerseeker 70AZ a better choice for kids and first time telescope users. Using the scope Then again you’d be hard pressed to find solid optics within this price range anyways. What Do The Celestron AstroMaster 76AZ’s Specifications Mean? As your new telescope would give you 175X with the 4mm eyepiece, it's quite understandable that it's giving you trouble. 175X, which you derive by dividing the focal-length of the telescope - 700mm - by the focal-length of the eyepiece - 4mm - using the formula: 700mm / 4mm = 175X - and this is the upper limit of magnification for this telescope. You find this by gauging the rule of 50 to 60X per inch of aperture, or 3." This so-called 'rule' is quite loosely used. This would be doable only on night with very good 'seeing' conditions. Which is rare. And forget it altogether with the Barlow lens. The PowerSeeker 70 is a refractor telescope perfect for terrestrial and celestial viewing on the go. The PowerSeeker can view the planets, moon, star clusters and brighter deep sky objects like the Orion Nebula and Andromeda Galaxy at night. The erect image star diagonal makes the optical tube ideal for using as a spotting scope during the day.

As the tube is so small it shouldn’t be very surprising that the 76AZ will be quite portable out of the box too. The device should come in at around 6 – 7kg with the tripod weighing in at 3.45kg. The tripod is also quite limited in how high it can go with it ranging between 0.81m – 1.3m making it most comfortable for children more so than adults or taller individuals. Accessories Included In The BoxI wear glasses and the shorter focal length simpler design eyepieces with few glass elements are very difficult for me to look through and still be able to see all the field of view. This property is called "Eye Relief". More complex and expensive eyepieces can be shorter focal length just like your 4mm one, but, unlike your 4mm one can have much longer eye relief and are thus MUCH easier to look through without your eye lashes brushing the oils in your eye lashes onto the coatings on the glass "eye lens" that you see at the top of the eyepiece. But they are complex, heavy and expensive.
