This is the third Tamagotchi produced to be based on an anime, the first being the Doraemontchi and the second being the Oden-Kun Tamagotchi. The Evatchi Tamagotchi is part of Bandai’s Tamagotchi Nano series. Combining a mecha Angel with Tamagotchi just makes a lot of sense. It is a fun little toy for fans of the Neon Genesis Evangelion anime and manga series.

Battery Life: The Evatchi runs on batteries, so make sure to have a spare set on hand. The device will alert you when the battery is low, giving you plenty of time to replace it. I think this is just slightly different from Sandalphon. You just need to play games with it instead of using melons to keep it happy.

Bandai has already announced three new models to be released in 2021, which could only mean that this Christmas, adults will be begging Santa Claus for a new Evatchi.

B stands for Battle, C stands for Centre, Int stands for Interrupt Screen etc. I don't think you need to record the time of the interruptions (or "Mixed Signals" as the official English instructions call the little random animations) so you can just group it with the last time fed. Same for the games.

I was provided with free Kaworu and Asuka Evatchi Tamagotchi devices from Bandai for review purposes. My opinions are my own. I never owned the original Tamagotchi but did get a spin-off RakuRaku Dino-kun AKA Dinkie Dino which was pretty fun too raising a dinosaur. Later I was still curious what the original was like and ended up buying a later version of the Tamagotchi which is the yellow one you see here with an IR connector to trade gifts with other owners. Throughout the day, the LCL around the Angel will get dirty. Pressing the A button will clean it. The longer the user waits to clean it, the more dirty the LCL will become. The user will not be able to feed or play games until the LCL is cleaned.
