The seventh in the Hole series, The Snowman, was adapted into a Hollywood film starring Michael Fassbender as Harry, alongside Silo star Rebecca Ferguson and Top Gun ace Val Kilmer. Thank you to Knopf, Pantheon, Vintage, and Anchor, and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own. Part three didn’t resonate with me. Nesbo makes use of a trope that I just don’t appreciate—others’ opinions may vary. It felt to me like an attempt to salvage a disjointed and implausible narrative, coming across as a shortcut in the writing process rather than a satisfying resolution.

I won't go into anything further because it would spoil the weirdness for you - if you're into weird, highly implausible methods of murder, that is. Or green cocaine. Part 1 had me hooked and I was really getting into the story. Part 1 is a traditional campy young adult-ish horror story that even though it had some issues, was still entertaining. But when I got to part 2, the story took a bit strange turn, to say the least.
