About this deal

Harry agrees, with the stipulation that - if he's successful - Harry will be paid almost a million dollars. This would clear Lucille's debt.

A wealthy Norwegian real estate mogul called Marcus Røed, in danger of being arrested for two murders, wants Harry to return to Oslo to hunt down the killer. To say more would be a spoiler, but I will say this is an entertaining story with surprises galore. I'd recommend the book to readers who enjoy light-ish horror stories.

Customer reviews

The seventh in the Hole series, The Snowman, was adapted into a Hollywood film starring Michael Fassbender as Harry, alongside Silo star Rebecca Ferguson and Top Gun ace Val Kilmer. Thank you to Knopf, Pantheon, Vintage, and Anchor, and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own. Part three didn’t resonate with me. Nesbo makes use of a trope that I just don’t appreciate—others’ opinions may vary. It felt to me like an attempt to salvage a disjointed and implausible narrative, coming across as a shortcut in the writing process rather than a satisfying resolution.

I won't go into anything further because it would spoil the weirdness for you - if you're into weird, highly implausible methods of murder, that is. Or green cocaine. Part 1 had me hooked and I was really getting into the story. Part 1 is a traditional campy young adult-ish horror story that even though it had some issues, was still entertaining. But when I got to part 2, the story took a bit strange turn, to say the least. When I got to part 3, I felt that the story went downhill fast.bellissimo il viaggio interiore di Harry e non solo il suo; c’è un corollario di personaggi secondari che vale la pena scoprire His friends are happy to see him the police are less pleased. But soon they will be happy enough to have Harry Hole around. A promising career as a professional footballer for Norwegian premiership side Molde FK – with a dream of playing for Spurs – was cut short by tearing the ligaments in both knees. But Harry has ulterior motives for wanting to solve this case and, if he fails, there could be more than one life at risk.

KILLING MOON is the 13th novel in the Harry Hole series, although each title reads as a standalone.Harry Hole si è trasferito a Los Angeles con un piano: bere fino alla morte in un posto lontano dopo la devastante morte della moglie Rakel. He'll need to bring together a misfit team of former operatives to do what he can't do alone: stop an unstoppable killer. But as the evidence mounts, it becomes clear that there is more to this case than meets the eye. Then, at about the 3/4 mark, Nesbo does something to pull the proverbial rug out from under the reader. Then, somewhere on the 7/8 mark, he does it again. Trust me, I want to tell you all about it, but I can’t because that would be spoiling it. This is one of the darkest entries in the series, with a serial killer whose methods are inventively macabre even by Nesbo's standards. But with Harry in the unfamiliar role of private eye, assembling an eccentric team to help him, and rubbing his old police colleagues up the wrong way, it's also one of the most fun Daily Express Harry can't join the official police investigation, so he forms his own unofficial detective squad. This includes Truls Berntsen - a police detective who's been suspended for alleged misconduct;
