There are 20 memory presets, 10 for DAB and 10 for FM. Presets are remembered in the event of a power failure. Some radio stations may have one or more additional broadcasts associated with them. If these are available they will appear immediately after the main station.

Note: If the unit is in the Bluetooth or Auxiliary input stop mode position for more than 15 minutes it will automatically switch off. To use the radio again, simply press the Power button. Auxiliary input Scan setting –Choose ‘Scan Setting’ and then choose ‘Distant’ (your radio will scan for both weak and strong signals) or ‘Local’ (your radio will scan for stations with good reception). Preset radio stations Next, I switched over to Fleetwood Mac’s The Chain, a song that allowed the low end to truly shine. The bass is dimensional producing a satisfying amount of detail definition, and the build up from the nimble guitar riff and symbols to the bass solo at the bridge is dynamic for a device of its size.Time Update –Your radio will usually set the time using the DAB signal. Turning the Tuning control starts auto scan. To stop the scan in the desired area, turn the control one more step. At the park (where listening to its radio will save on data eaten by pinging DAB stations from your phone to your Bluetooth speaker), in the kitchen, by your bed or beside your desk, the Revival Petite is a joy to use and sounds very good indeed. Verdict

Manual tune –Choose ‘DAB Advanced’ and then choose ‘Manual Tune’ and then choose the desired DAB channel. The signal strength will be displayed. The signal marker ( ) shows the minimum strength needed for good DAB reception. Sleep Timer –Your radio can be set to turn off after a preset time (between 15 and 120 minutes) has elapsed. Choose ‘Sleep Timer’ and then choose the desired sleep time. The sleep symbol will appear on the display. If you wish to switch off the sleep timer, press the power button to cancel the sleep timer and switch your radio off. The beautifully made Ruark stole our hearts pretty much as soon as it was out of the box, and things only got better once we'd fired it up and started listening. Note: If no signals are found it may be necessary to relocate your radio to a position giving better reception and carry out a scan for new stations. Select a DAB radio station Do not use or charge the battery if it appears to be abnormally hot, swollen, leaking or damaged in any way. The Petite’s use of a micro-USB port for charging also feels a bit outdated when most of the competition are incorporating USB-C, but this is far from being a dealbreaker. It's priced at the premium end for a radio, but you really do get what you pay for with the Ruark R2. A wonderfully complete radio that truly deserves your consideration. The Petite features the same retro look as the rest of the Revival series with its colourful faux leather finish and the gold Roberts signature emblazoned on the front, squeezed into a smaller, more travel-friendly form factor. In fact, its nearly half the size and weight of the Revival Mini. If you’ve been considering buying a digital radio, you’ve probably noticed that there are a LOT of options on the market, all of which have their pros and cons. Some have great features but don’t look so great, others have the aesthetics but cost too much and some just don’t have the sound quality that you desire.
