About this deal

Stranger Things meets Shadow and Bone in this first instalment of an epic and romantic YA fantasy series - perfect for fans of Leigh Bardugo, Sarah J. Maas and Victoria Aveyard. Now a TikTok phenomenon. And Omega Point (rebels really cool little hideout) just seems to be used as a stage for Juliette and Adams relationship (if you can even call it that) drama. I mean come on! So much potential to make me fall in love and be dying to go to Omega Point and its just tarnished by stupid arguments. This at least is pointed out by the fantastic Kenji, who straight up lets them know that they are being dumb. (Kenji is fab btw).

I could go on for days... weeks... no years about this book. I would go so into detail and fine tooth comb and break down every chapter if I could, but I wont because I would never want to tarnish, or give out any details to someone who hasn't had the chance to read this masterpiece, because that's what this series is. It's the Mona Lisa of ya novels. A slight mysterious smile that you can't turn away from. It makes you want to scream out loud and kiss Tahereh's forehead and thank her for writing something so on point. so on point. I get Juliette instant attraction to Adam, first person to be able to touch her her whole life? Shes gonna feel something. That something however is not love, if anything its lust and the first taste of friendship she’s ever had all mushed up. And that’s being generous to Mr Dull Potato Adam. The only redeeming quality to Adam is his love for is brother James. I do love it when YA shows some good sibling relationships. The devastatingly romantic fifth novella in the New York Times and USA Today bestselling Shatter Me series, chronicling the events after Imagine Me. In full disclosure, it’s been a really long time since I read the the first batch of Shatter Me books. As such, the romance in Shatter Me is all very PG-13. There is no smut or explicitly sexual content. This series has changed me. It changed my views on certain matters, it corrected my perspective on how good representation should be, and so on. I have no idea how I will wake up tomorrow without a new Shatter Me book to look forward to.

If you think I'm rating this low because I haven't read books like this before, you're probably wrong. I've read all of red queen, the lunar chronicles, the hunger games, the selection, (i really didn't like it), and every other romance-ridden dystopia/fantasy, and this was NOT a good balance. Well sweetheart, so did everone else in this series even your precious Warner, but you dont see them cower in the corner refusing to participate!

Adam has the personality of a potato. An especially bland potato. He is boring and dull and all he has going for him is his ridiculous insta-love for Juliette. I HATE INSTA-LOVE. They tried to play it off as childhood sweethearts but seriously she let someone cheat off her when she was nine and suddenly Adam thinks she’s gods gift. He treats her like some kind sweet innocent little flower that he needs to protect. She’s a kind person, that doesn’t make her an endangered species Adam, jeez. Juliette is tough under all her whining, anyone could see that. She needs to be pushed and challenged to wake up the real Juliette inside, not coddled. Tahereh Mafi is a talented and acclaimed American author known for her captivating young adult novels. She was born on November 27, 1988, in Connecticut, USA. Mafi's Iranian heritage has had a significant influence on her life and writing, infusing her work with rich cultural elements and diverse perspectives. Shatter Me was Mafi’s debut novel and was published when she was only 23 years old. The original trilogy went on to be translated into more than 30 languages and sell more than a million copies. I went into the Shatter Me series very skeptical. I'd heard the strikeouts were annoying and that the writing style was strange and confusing. Well, I absolutely couldn't disagree more! With the Shatter Me series, Mafi cemented herself as an A-list writer on my score sheet. The Shatter Me series is hands down one of the best series I've ever read! I absolutely loved it because of the amazing characters and the gripping storyline. And let me tell you, it's not just all about romance – there's so much more to it!
