Located in one of Bath’s many beautiful Georgian buildings, the Bath Gin Company is Bath’s first gin distillery for over 250 years, since the Gin Acts of the 18 th Century. They produce artisan flavours over their five-floor, self-proclaimed gin palace, with their adjoining Canary Gin Bar offering the perfect spot for a tipple or two. Join a creative workshop ranging from making a willow stag’s head to Christmas wreaths and candle making. Their bottle is both unique and luxurious. Designed with four sides to replicate the four siblings and four-sided shapes to continue the theme. It even uses real gold on all four sides of the decoration to reflect the high-quality taste of the gin. The final touch is on the logo, with the four dots symbolizing the dates of birth of the founding siblings, with equal pink and blue diamonds for the two boys and two girls who started the distillery. Create your own unique gin with your signature botanical blend using our hands-on gin lab workshops. You get a ‘base’ gin from which you can add each botanical until you’ve perfected your own recipe. You’ll get a chance to taste lots of different gins and learn about the distilling process and all while enjoying a G&T or two. After finding out from a distiller in 2012 that a gin with ginger as the predominant flavour hadn’t existed commercially for over 100 years, founder Richard Bamber set out on a journey of discovery that resulted in Brennen & Brown, the Cheltenham based distillery that produce a vast range of flavoured and special edition gins. If you’re looking for a truly immersive experience, Brennen & Brown offer fabulous and ginformative gin tasting evenings, as well as Lab Experiences for two where you can create your own bottle of gin. They are also in the process of building a Ginsperational Tasting Room to complement their experiences. The final botanical line up consists of ten botanicals: juniper, coriander, cardamom, orris, cubeb, liquorice, fresh orange and lemon, sliced blueberries and vanilla pods. Provenance has been placed on a pedestal for some time now, but the Sibling Distillery team are more concerned with the taste of an ingredient, rather than where it grew, so while the blueberries are local, the rest of the botanicals are sourced globally. This may all sound pretty straightforward but is substantially different from how most other distillers operate. If your base alcohol comes prepared, you can turn around a gin in a matter of hours if you wanted to. While today’s UK craft distillers take much more time to make their gin, with most runs lasting between 12 and 48 hours before the liquid is ready for bottling, in Sibling’s case, the process takes nearly three weeks! As with our original gin, this seasonal is 100% made from scratch to the Sibling quality, then infused with fresh cranberries and clementine peel.

The Founders

Though all four siblings are named as owners, while Digby is still underage it is down to the older trio to get all of the hard work done, which means a lot of night shifts to keep up with ever increasing demand and a lot of weekends spent at events and fairs to grow their brand.
