About this deal

Keep in mind that because of its cumbersome nature, it can cause some level of discomfort if you are into intense workout sessions. But these headphones are good options for the gym. Skullcandy has a specific name for each model they release, so it can be unclear how their headphones are categorized. Sometimes, there are feature-specific variants of that model available. For this brand, we consider these variants (and their base model) as constituting a lineup. This includes the following: With a smoother mid forward amp and better dac the increase in overall clarity is noticeable. The mids get even more forward while the bass quantity is decreased but can still slam/rumble at loud enough volumes. The vocals while already good before is now something special. The treble remains the same but the overall soundstage has gotten lot more spacious, making the e07k a bit congested sounding. It’s not warm sounding either unlike the eo7k, Improvements: More detailed, warmer punchier sound, slightly more bass quantity while keeping the same clarity

The Aviator is designed with mobile use in mind. Like the Beats by Dr. Dre, they have an inline remote and microphone on the cord that will control your iDevice. The microphone is placed slightly too high on the cord to be truly comfortable and doesn’t feel as well made as the rest of the headphones but the remote works well enough. The cord is permanently secured at the headphone end which technically makes it more vulnerable than the Solo HD but at no disadvantage to the other headphones in the test. The cord itself is a pretty good length for portable and laptop use being long enough to allow some freedom of movement without requiring you to stow it with a wire tie. These are very comfy and are easy to put on however, despite it supposedly being a over ear headphone, the wear more like an on ear, with most of the apd sitting on my earlobe. Not a big deal as the pads are very soft. Like all over-ear headphones, you can make size adjustments to the Aviators by pulling up and down on the polished silver slide rail that forms the curved shape of the headband. The frame also bends at the top of the both earcups, allowing you to fold them into the headband for safe storage, although we're worried that the continued joint strain from folding and unfolding could damage the structural integrity over the long run. The soundstage is not actually very wide in open standard, but for a small closed portable, it’s pretty impressive. And the imaging while a bit left/rightish still utilizes the width quite well. Just htat there’s no depth whatsoever.I used " friends on mushrooms" by infected mushroom to see how they did with some energetic and heavy EDM. But of course all those pretty looks won’t mean a thing unless it sounds good right? Well honestly I have to admit it sounds way better than I expected. That’s 2-0 already to Skullcandy and I have only had it for a few days. These look really nice (to me at least). While style is at the near bottom of the list of things to look for in a headphone i can't deny i like the look of these unlike many other gaudy skullcandy products. Grind= Truly wireless in-ears with unique features like Skull-iQ Smart Feature support and hands-free voice control.

The Skullcandy Aviators have a soft leather (or leather-like) material where the cup meets your cranium, and the resulting fit is very comfortable. Over time, you won’t necessarily forget that you’re wearing headphones, but the experience isn’t an uncomfortable one.

Sound Quality

In most Skullcandy headphones, you can spot the cables between the headband and ear cup; thus, it is essential to be wary of potential wear and tear. Honestly my favourite right here (but it should be, considering how much the wa6 costs), it now warmer, bassier while being clearer and more detailed, offering the most dynamic sound yet. The mids are more inline with the rest of the sound which can be good or bad depending on your taste. I used " at the edge of time" and " a night at the opera" by Blind Guardian to see how they preformed with large and impressive bands. Since most consumers are not the most poignant of audiophiles, the large swath of customers wants to own headphones they can use casually at a low price.

In the lower frequencies, the Skullcandy Aviators seem to have a slight distortion problem, but it’s still low enough that you probably won’t hear it. Further, any shifts in channel preference for the Skullcandy Aviators are mild, so you’re unlikely to hear them. We used the Skullcandy Roc Nation Aviators intermittently for over a week and have few complaints about the fit and shape of the headphones. The plush leather ear protectors create a loose seal that lets you hear ambient noise while also keeping your music between your ears with adequate sound isolation. The headphones are surprisingly light considering the stainless steel accents, and you also get plenty of room within the wide pyramidal-shape earcups to accommodate a range of ear sizes.Skullcandy offers a few headphones that you can easily fold because of their compactness. However, since most Skullcandy headphones are targeted at people looking for an affordable headset, most of the Skull candy headphones are bulky to carry. Therefore, it goes without saying that you will experience a far better signal strength from Beats headphones than you will from Skullcandy. Cost section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}} The Skullcandy Aviators have a fairly high impedance, low sensitivity. In this article, you will find a detailed comparison between these two companies that will help you understand which would be the best option for you. Differences Between Skullcandy and Beats In the lower frequencies, the Skullcandy Aviators seem to have a slight distortion problem, but it’s still low enough that you probably won’t hear it.

This lift means that the Aviator sounds rich and involving with voices and instruments. The effect is not unlike the effect that some valve amps can have. It isn’t absolutely accurate- and my wife noted that they weren’t really suitable for use with Ableton and Kontakt- but it is very easy to listen to for long periods. This does have the slightly curious side effect that a product aimed at the outdoor sports demographic sounds really very good indeed with acoustic and jazz material. I’m a little adrift on what the music choice of this particular demographic is but I’m not aware that this is it. Ultra= Discontinued line. Tends to have better battery performance, rapid charging, higher IP rating, app compatibility, and Tile support. There are also prevalent complaints about Skullcandy ear cups not being spacious enough, which results in a clamping sensation. ControlCertainly visually impressive, the Skullcandy Aviators offer middling performance for a mobile set of headphones, but they certainly are far from ideal for the price you’d pay. Despite their fashionability, they have quite a few concerns that warrant pause before buying something.
