About this deal

This mold was also used to make Shadow Panther/ Tripredacus Agent and Tigatron. It was slated to be used for Universe Nightprowler, but that toy set was canceled.

In 2014, Nightprowler randomly turned up in a display at Hasbro's Transformers 30th Anniversary San Diego Comic-Con Press Breakfast. After Airazor was reborn on Earth, Cheetor fought the Predacons during a plot to launch an orbital weapon. The launching pad was destroyed by Airazor. The Razor's Edge Metals Cheetus 2" in Takara's Beast Wars Metals line is identical to the Hasbro release. A "presale" version sold in conjunction with 1999 Summer Toei Anime Fair has one difference—the dark gray present on most of the body was changed to a bright silver. Part of the first assortment of Beast Machines Megas, Cheetor transforms into a super-lean technorganic cheetah. In keeping with the early Beast Machines design trend of "articulated features", turning the beast mode head causes its jaw to open and close. His left foreleg has a gear-spring horizontal "swiping" action activated by pushing a section of the above shoulder-armor towards his body.

After the quantum surge, Cheetor acquired a Transmetal form that gave his robot mode the organic attributes that his beast mode once possessed. The upgrade gave Cheetor more power and agility than ever before, and this new body had flip-out cyber-thrust wings that gave him additional speed and limited flight. Transmetals Cheetor bio Mainframe Entertainment's original plan for Transmetal Cheetor was to have his face mature over the course of the season, from a big-eared, wide-eyed, rounded face into one close to the toy. Also, he would have had a "Hero's Heart" which glowed after completing brave or heroic feats, somewhat akin to the classic anime character Astro Boy. Due to time and financial restrictions, none of these concepts panned out. After a decisive Maximal victory at the Standing Stones, an alien probe swallowed Optimus Primal. The argument over who would lead turned into a secret ballot, during which, from Rhinox's reaction, Cheetor voted for Dinobot, suggesting he trusted the Predacon's leadership skills over those of Rattrap. As it turned out, the exercise was rendered pointless by the revelation that Optimus wasn't dead after all. Chain of Command This mold was later redecoed for a " Fox Kids" version, as well as both the Hasbro and Takara 10th anniversary versions of the character.

While Shadow Panther's fellow Predacons saw only pain and failure in their history, Shadow Panther saw a golden age. He had spent years studying the records of his Decepticon ancestors, and idolized Megatron's inner circle of loyalists as the very best of their kind. He held a special fascination for Ravage, with whom he felt some kind of spiritual connection.

Part of the fourth wave of Kingdom Deluxe Class toys, Shadow Panther is a retool of Cheetor from the same line, with a new head based on the original figure's mutant head. He transforms into a "panther" in 20 steps. Shadow Panther's tail can detach to become a bladed whip, similar to Cheetor's Transmetal toy. His beast mode has fully articulated limbs and his jaw can open and close. Though most early artwork for Beast Machines character designs were very different from the final product, Cheetor's design seems to have changed very little, with only the green being downplayed in his color scheme. The war continued as Optimus Primal led the Children of Primus against the forces of Unicron across the multiverse, but the conflict eventually took a toll on Cheetor and the others. Contaminated by constant exposure to Unicron's corrosive essence, Cheetor was afflicted with the nanotech " Unicron virus", which worsened with time. To keep from descending into madness or deactivation, Cheetor was rebuilt and purified by Primal's Matrix of Purification. Beast Wars 10th Anniversary Optimus Primal profile

In Japan, this toy was released as a JafCon convention exclusive, under the name of "Metals Cheetus Silver", along with the "Fox Kids" versions of Transmetal Airazor and Transmetal Rattrap. A tiny plastic Cheetor figurine molded onto an irregularly-shaped stand was released by Kabaya. Labeled toy 4 of 6, the other characters in his wave were Dinobot, Rattrap, Megatron, Optimus Primal, and Rhinox. As always, terrible candy is included. The youthful 'bot who would become "Cheetor" was part of the Maximal exploration ship Axalon; Beast Wars (Part 1) unbeknownst to most members of the crew, its captain Optimus Primal had been secretly tasked with abandoning the murderous Protoform X far from Cybertronian space. Bad Spark However, the Axalon would be diverted off-course to pursue Megatron and a group of rogue Predacons, who'd stolen a golden disk and fled Cybertron aboard a transwarp-capable starship. Cheetor figure comes with classic tail blaster and water-squirting “gut blaster” weapon accessories. Tail blaster attaches as cheetah tail and water blaster attaches as cheetah stomach in beast mode. Water blaster is functional in both modes. Figure also features flip-down mutant head In Japanese media, Cheetor has the quirk of ending sentences in a long, stressed "Jān", like a cute kitty growl. Cheetor also has the tendency to say "Woooow!" and speak English phrases (such as "beast mode") in a pronounced American accent to emphasize his cool, carefree attitude. In addition to all that, whenever firing his weapon, he would always shout "utsumashi!" ("fire!"). Cheetor of the Fur Walkers was forged on the colony world of Eukaris, emerging from the hot spot of his world's Titan, Chela. As the "Talon of Onyx Prime", Chela championed his Prime's love of beast-formers over standard-formers, likely influencing the beast modes of his people. By modern times, the people of Eukaris had divided into four major tribes. Cheetor was representative of the Fur Walkers on the rare occasion the tribes met under a white flag for talks. Accessories: 2 sets of alternate hands, 1 "tail blaster", 1 Energon crystal, 2 blast effect accessories

This release came with a DVD of "Convoy Disappeared", the Japanese dub of " Chain of Command" which was an episode that didn't feature Cheetor in any sort of meaningful way, despite episodes that do being easy to come by. Cheetor comes with a Golden Disk card that " reveals a possible destiny of a key character", with each character having three possible destiny variants. Upon arriving on prehistoric Earth, the dangers of Energon radiation forced the Maximals and Predacons to take on beast alternate forms. "Cheetor" promptly grabbed a cheetah by its underbelly, hoisted it up to his optics, and scanned the creature's molecular structure. The indignant cheetah could do nothing but silently ask the robot "Do you mind?" Cheetor transformed into his new organic cheetah mode and darted into Predacon territory. Unfortunately, Cheetor was spotted by Tarantulas, and the two battled until they were forced to return to their beast modes to avoid Energon radiation damage. This toy was an ultimately inauspicious start for the Supreme price point. It shelfwarmed pretty badly and ended up in blowout sales at online retailers discounted more than 75% off its original price tag. This move list presumes the player is facing right; when facing left, reverse the left and right inputs. Robot Mode Thankfully, Optimus Primal, himself something of a young firebrand, keeps a steady eye on the young Maximal and tries to guide him, and in turn Cheetor affectionately calls him "Big Bot". And a friendship with his fellow "big cat" Tigatron is also helping the spotted speedster learn a little patience.
