About this deal

Wolverine’s minifigure looks okay– I still think medium-length legs would be far more appropriate as Logan is meant to only be 5’3″, and I’m not completely sold on the face, with the teeth-baring grin. I’ll also be interested to see his face under the mask – but the Wolverine costume is pretty darn great. 76203 Iron Man Mech Armor Pearl gold ingots are also situated across the arms and legs, complementing the designs on the Iron Man minifigure. Opening the chest armour reveals space for Iron Man to stand and I like the dark tan elements behind him, forming some cushioning. The tile launcher situated above the pilot looks rather out of place but shooting functions are brilliant for play and this weapon offers a broad range of motion. Without an opening faceplate, the face featuring a printed heads-up display is not very useful. However, maybe more disappointing is the omission of Tony Stark's hair piece, as that should certainly have been included. Two trans-light blue Power Blasts are present though, which can be launched from Iron Man's hands. Marvel character mechs share the same proportions and building methods, but this design is certainly recognisable as belonging to Iron Man, given its colours and the printed arc reactor decorating the torso. This colour scheme represents a notable change from 76140 Iron Man Mech and matches the minifigure, as pearl gold is its most prominent colour. Iron Man frequently deploys heavily armoured suits when the situation requires them and this mech bears some resemblance to the famous Hulkbuster. The model measures 12cm in height and I think the proportions are excellent, featuring large shoulders, hands and feet which contrast with narrower sections of each limb. That design reflects the earlier NEXO Knights Battle Suits.

You will need to buy 4 pieces of AA batteries separately for the helmet and another 1 piece of AAA battery for the remote. I’m not exactly sure why they didn’t re-use T’challa Star Lord’s face which seems a bit more appropriate. 76206 Iron Man Figure The angular chest component is shared between mechs, but features an exclusive printed 2x3 pentagonal tile that displays Iron Man's arc reactor. Opalescent trans-light blue elements adorn the shoulders and complement the arc reactor, although their position is odd. Even so, I like the upper body design, overall. Removing the helmet reveals a familiar double-sided head, featuring a blue heads-up display on one side and Tony Stark's confident face on the other. This element was originally intended for integration with helmets that feature opening faceplates but it looks reasonable here too. A pair of trans-light blue Power Blasts are supplied with the minifigure. These components consist primarily of dark red but the contrasting details look marvellous and I like the red printing which creates an illusion of reflective metal. Once again, this design corresponds with the video game while the white arc reactor at the centre of Iron Man's chest looks splendid, accurately capturing the shape of its digital counterpart.LEGO has produced several models of the Hulkbuster armour and they have proven fantastic, hence my high expectations for the generic 76140 Iron Man Mech. Thankfully, the mech does not disappoint. Its colour scheme of red, dark red and pearl gold looks perfect and I think the proportions of the model are appropriate for Iron Man, conveying reasonable strength but avoiding excessive bulk. The reverse is very bland, but the smooth finish is effective. Furthermore, the presence of dark tan elements matches pearl gold reasonably well. The same colour would obviously have been ideal, but LEGO consistently mixes pearl gold and dark tan, including on 76191 Infinity Gauntlet last year. Tony Stark might be dead in the MCU, but it sure won’t stop LEGO and Marvel from churning out more Iron Man suits! I do like the printed chest-piece on a Nexo Knight shield. The amount of articulation of the big Iron Man figure presents itself to be above average not only having bendable knees, but a sviwel rotation at them as well as at the waist. Bushings at the hips can be detached allowing for greater degree of movement outwards, while the ankle construction ensures consistantly flat positioning of the feet on the ground. At this point a bicep swivel or a properly mounted ball joint at the elbow would make it pretty much perfect!

This version is definitely based on his classic suit from the 70s. It has the same belt design and everything:
