In tribute to His Majesty The King’s lifetime of public service, The Big Help Out will encourage people to come out and support the causes that matter to them. The Big Help Out will be held on Monday, 8th May 2023 and is being organised by The Together Coalition and a wide range of partners such as The Scouts, the Royal Voluntary Service and faith groups from across the United Kingdom. Essentially, it’s all about getting together with community members, neighbours, friends and families around the villages, towns and cities of the nation over the bank holiday weekend. Whether you’re planning a street party, picnic, barbecue or other gathering for the big day, find Coronation decorations, tableware and party supplies to make your royal celebration a success. The centrepiece of any party is, of course, the edible spread itself, with food acting as a great vehicle to bring people together and enable everyone to contribute. Hundreds of activities are planned for the day by local community groups, organisations and charities including The Scouts, Royal Voluntary Service, National Trust and RNLI. Further details and ways to take part will be announced shortly. The concert will showcase a world-class orchestra, as well as dancers and entertainers. Performing alongside these stars will be The Coronation Choir, a diverse cross-section of the community choirs and amateur singers from across the UK. This includes NHS choirs, Refugee choirs, LGBTQ+ singing groups and deaf signing choirs, representing the many faces and voices of the country. When hosting, you must make sure children are kept safely away from vehicles (unlike an official street party, a street meet means the road will still be open) Once crowned, the Sovereign moves to the Throne in the main part of the Theatre, symbolising their taking possession of the kingdom. If there is a Queen Consort, her anointing and crowning follows. Male consorts are not crowned. Afternoon Tea Kit - Enjoy a lovely afternoon of tea and treats with this scrumptious party kit. Includes menus, recipes, printable accessories, placemats and more. The Sovereign is then dressed in robes made of cloth and gold and presented with the coronation Regalia; the Orb, Sceptre, and Rod of the Dove. The St Edward’s Crown is then placed upon the King/Queen’s head to the sound of trumpet fanfare.
