SMOK Novo X 25W Kit Specification: For the purpose of review I received the seven colour cobra scheme, another way of avoiding the use of the “rainbow” word. Both were more than capable of bringing out the flavour notes but it seems the Novo X 0.8ohm DC slightly favoured the dessert profiles.These 0.8Ω MTL pods are perfectly fine for use with regular nicotine ejuices but they’re really just perfect for mid-strength nicotine salts. I’ve been using 35mg salts with the Novo X and they vape perfectly. The draw is a tight MTL draw with warm vapor at 22.5W. There is no recommended wattage range for this pod so I just tested different wattages until I found a wattage that vaped comfortably. The throat hit is great and very satisfying. The flavor is similar to the Novo 3 pods and good for a low powered pod vape. The auto draw was also now working to maximum efficiency, proof there’s just too much air being drawn into the pod. The creaking panels make the Novo X feel cheaper than its predecessors even though it looks newer thanks to the screen. The creaking panels aren’t a deal breaker for me but it’s disappointing.

I just can’t prise the majority of these stoppers out of the pods. There doesn’t seem to be enough space to get anything other than the most manicured of finger nails into. The flavour quality was fantastic and the DC pod was able to bring out most of the dairy tones. The vape was warm enough to emulate dollops of cream and rice pudding.

Cons

The big difference with the Novo X is the tiny screen and small power button on the front panel. The screen is extremely small but it’s bright and clear. The button is slightly recessed into the panel but still easy to interact with. The information available includes current power output (wattage), battery indicator and percentage, resistance of the coil and a voltage reading.
