The pairing part of the setup did not go as smoothly. Following the prompts in the Owlet Dream app, I plugged the camera in, waited for the light on the front to blink red and blue, and connected to my WiFi, all without issue. (*Note that you must be connected to 2.4GHz WiFi; 5GHz is not compatible.)
The instructions were easy to understand. Super easy to install. The set up was simple and has a good user interface on the app. We really like this wifi baby monitor. You can’t go wrong with this baby monitor, trust me. This camera provides crystal clear 1080p video with a 130-degree wide-angle lens and 4x digital zoom and this updated version provides motion sensor notifications through the app. In addition, it is equipped with night vision, which offers quality vision even when light is low. I could get to the point of setup where you need to scan a QR code, but that was where it ends. I couldn’t go any further because my router is dual-band and uses both 2.4 and 5GHz networks. Once you get to the point where you need to scan the QR code in setup, you are supposed to hear a “chime” to move forward. This chime never becomes audible, therefore I cannot get this camera to work properly with my home wifi system.

It cannot connect to a 5ghz Wi-Fi network, or if your wifi network broadcasts 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz on the same SSID you cannot connect the camera to it without playing around with your network settings to temporarily disable the 5Ghz network first. This makes the camera almost impossible to travel with since you don’t have control of Wi-Fi networks when you are traveling.The two-way audio feature allows you to communicate with Baby through the Cam. Talk to and soothe your baby from anywhere.
