The GN-000 0 Gundam in Mobile Suit Gundam 00 resembles the RX-78-2 Gundam, and is even repainted in a similar color scheme in its final battle. Another in-joke is that the 0 Gundam's pilot and antagonist, Ribbons Almark, shares the same voice actor with Amuro Ray.
