About this deal

I also enjoyed getting bit and pieces of prior scenes...some I had forgotten about but loved hearing about again.

It was the same repetitive rubbish when it came to the main story… the insipid war, the non-stop walking, the manufactured separation between characters, the cheesy romances, and the contrived and far fetched situations. Where were the twists and turns? Where was the intrigue and suspense? Where was the organic/genuine drama? Jamie gets called to service as a General in George Washington’s army. Young Ian Fraser, who is also having love problems, is called upon to be a scout for the army ,which wants to make use of his Mohawk skills. Fergus and Marsali are still running the paper and managing to stay out of trouble, for the most part, but things are tough for them both on the rebel side. William, after finding out his biological father is Jamie Fraser and not Lord Grey, isn’t handling life well at all. Lord Grey, who goes missing for a bit after a run-in with Jamie’s fist, isn’t around to help his son, making things even worse for William. And Jenny? Well, she’s finding her place in the colonies, happy to be with her son and family again.

I finished writing and doing the research for BEES in March, 2021. Until November 23, it went through the publication process. How did Frank's letter to Bree end up in Lollybroch? He couldn't possibly have known she'd end up living there. I hope it's explained at some point. Overall, the story is a richly woven, colorful and at times enigmatic tapestry, and stays with you, even when you are done reading or listening. If you are looking or hesitating to start the Outlander series, don't - every book is worth it, you will be enriched. (minus the profanities) and will actually learn quite a bit of history, medical knowledge, herbal knowledge and fall in love with most of the characters. Of haggis, gigged frogs and succubi: Continuing her Outlander series, Gabaldon ( An Echo in the Bone, 2009, etc.) again pushes the boundaries of genre fiction. And, from a dentist's perspective, I thought the dental parts were pretty spot on. I adored all of the medical scenes. I swear, I read these books as much from a doctor's perspective as from an average reader's, and I'm never disappointed.

The German-language edition is the first version of BEES translated in a language other than English. Barbara Schnell translated BEES from English into German. A Spanish-language edition was released in Spain on July 7, 2022. Publisher’s Description for BEESWith a prologue like that I knew I was onto a winner. But then again, every book has been a five star read for me. This one was no different. Jamie and Claire are imperfectly perfect. Sigh. Their conversations, even discussing the mundane, are words spoken with an undercurrent of myriad emotion and a familiarity without a comfortable monotony. They love each other to self-sacrifice but also blanketed with respect to allow each other to be who they are as a person with convictions, even those seared to the bone and the core of their being. For that matter, where’s my brother?” Jenny inquired, glancing round as though expecting Jamie to appear suddenly out from under the settee.

It was daft how EVERYONE took after him in some way regardless of whether he was blood related to them or if he'd raised them… Whilst the other biological/foster/adopted parents managed to pass on NOTHING to their children. Superhero Jamie was the only one allowed to pass on traits/genetics to anyone. Ein Schatten von Verrat und Liebe (German edition). Translates into English as "A Shadow of Treachery and Love." Jamie is inspecting his troops when Claire spots Lord John Grey and Germain in the crowd. Grey surrenders to Jamie and is escorted to his tent. Rachel Hunter - Quaker nurse assisting her brother serving in the Revolutionary American Army. Love interest of Ian Murray Jr. Young Ian was particularly interesting to me because the reader got to see a side of him that is so decidedly Mohawk. He is grown from the very young man we sawBorn in the year of Our Lord 1918, Claire Randall served England as a nurse on the battlefields of World War II, and in the aftermath of peace found fresh conflicts when she walked through a cleftstone on the Scottish Highlands and found herself an outlander, an English lady in a place where no lady should be, in a time—1743—when the only English in Scotland were the officers and men of King George’s army. GO TELL THE BEES THAT I AM GONE (aka “BEES”) is the ninth book in my OUTLANDER series of novels which focus on Jamie Fraser and Claire Beauchamp Randall Fraser. BEES follows WRITTEN IN MY OWN HEART’S BLOOD, aka "MOBY," which is the eighth book in my OUTLANDER series.

Perseverance "Percy" Wainwright Beauchamp - English spy married into a French noble family. One-time lover (and later, stepbrother) of Lord John Grey.Written in My Own Heart's Blood is essentially broken up into two parts. One dealing with Roger and Bree and the other with Jamie, Claire and the rest of the family. Part VI: The Ties That Bind CHAPTER 95: The Body Electric CHAPTER 96: Nay Great Shortage of Hair in Scotland CHAPTER 97: A Man to Do a Man’s Job CHAPTER 98: The Wall CHAPTER 99: Radar CHAPTER 100: Be Those Thy Beasts? CHAPTER 101: Just One Chance CHAPTER 102: Postpartum CHAPTER 103: Solstice CHAPTER 104: The Succubus of Cranesmuir CHAPTER 105: No a Very Good Person CHAPTER 106: A Brother of the Lodge CHAPTER 107: The Burying Ground CHAPTER 108: Reality is That Which, When You Stop Believing in It, Doesn't Go Away. Almost a full bottle—terrible waste of good liquor, that would be.”
