Love it...hate it...this is the type of political intrigue and machinations that made S.H.I.E.L.D stories engaging. The storytelling in both volumes has been top tier. Al Ewing hits another one out of the park! The World Farm, the home of the Progenitors, was previously seen in Al Ewing’s Inhumans series Royals (2017). The Progenitors in that story were much more powerful than the ones seen in issue #2, hence Cable’s surprise that they were apparently genuine. Artistically, the issue is incredible. Storm’s dress alone would stand out, if not for the well-placed clippings of classic X-Men comics scattered throughout Storm’s thoughts. It’s a great way to indicate where her mind has been since the Council’s collapse.
