Turns out you can pretty much buy the 3500X anywhere, though the conditions will vary from one region to another.

In V-ray benchmark we see that the 3500X was 6% slower than the old Ryzen 5 1600 and almost 20% slower than the R5 2600. Here the 3500X is comparable to the Core i5-9400F along with the first and second-gen Ryzen 5 parts. That's to say performance is good, but we get the feeling it won't be long before 6-thread processors such as the 3500X and 9400F go the way of the Core i5-7600K.
