Carmellose sodium comes in a bottle with an eye dropper, or as a box of single-dose droppers. The single-dose droppers do not contain preservatives. How to use the eye drops Slight irritation of the eye, stinging and redness may occasionally occur during use. In most cases this disappears after a few minutes. If you also use an eye ointment, always use your eye drops first and wait 5 minutes before using the ointment.

Do not re-use the single-dose container even if there is some solution left. It is most important that you throw it away and do not keep it.Carmellose sodium eye drops can be stored at room temperature and do not need to be kept in a fridge. What if I forget to use it?

Many people find it is sufficient to use the drops three or four times a day, but you can use the drops more frequently if your eyes are very dry.
