not break while being bashed around. The width is optimized for tyre sizes commonly used by gravel cyclists. Mounted Ass Savers’ goal seems to have always been to make a low-cost solution that can improve the quality of your ride. While full coverage fenders aim to keep you dry and clean on your commute or on those long, wet winter road rides, Ass Savers are just trying to divert some of the rain & mud that is going to inevitably get you on wet adventurous rides. Ass Savers Mudder Mini strap-on plastic front wheel / face fender When it comes to choosing between front and rear mudguards for your gravel bike, it ultimately depends on your personal preferences and riding conditions. Both front and rear mudguards serve different purposes and offer distinct advantages. In this post, we will discuss the benefits of front and rear mudguards, as well as some factors to consider when making your choice. Protecting your gravel bike from mud and water is essential, especially during wet or muddy conditions. One of the best options for this purpose is the traditional full fender design. This design has been proven to be effective in providing increased durability and long-lasting protection for gravel bikes. These full fenders are perfect for those who take their gravel bikes on rough terrains and want to ensure that their bikes remain in top condition, regardless of the challenges they face. Fenders / mudguards that attach to the frame and fork of your bike are incredibly versatile. They are easy to take on and off and fit a wide range of different bikes. The downside is that in attaching to your frame, they run a very real risk of damaging your paintwork - and in extreme circumstances, even your frame.

In summary, riders have a wide range of mudguard options to choose from, each offering different levels of protection, ease of installation, and price points. Whether you prefer a minimalist approach, full-coverage protection, or a balanced solution, there is a mudguard option available for all types of bikes and budgets. Our impressions

The only really problem we have with the Mudder Mini is that it doesn’t work with suspension forks (it just can’t strap around where the lowers & arch come together). Most other small plastic front fenders we’ve used (including the Mudder Regular) attach directly to the fork crown with zip ties. That makes them more versatile when suspension fork arches come into play, but then you lose control over how close they sit to the tire when you have a lot of mud clearance. The last thing you want is for your lovely plump tires to be worn down by an ill-fitting fender / mudguard. Although there are many benefits of wide tires, sometimes it’s better to go for a slightly smaller option that won't rub on the 'guards. Fixing the Fendor Bendor couldn't be easier; fold the plastic sheet along the pre-scored lines to give the mud guard some shape and integrity and then squeeze it through the rear stays above the rear brake and attach it to the seat tube with a strap of velco. Et voila. Once in place it is remarkably rigid and doesn't seem to budge at all, though of course it doesn't work if you have a wishbone design rear seat stay. The Ass Savers Fendor Bendor Big gets the dirty job done. The all new attachment makes fitting without tools a breeze, to virtually every bike in just a few seconds.

Traditional full fenders are made from robust materials that ensure their durability, making them a long-lasting investment compared to other fender types. They are resistant to wear and tear, which means they will continue to provide excellent protection, even after long periods of use. This durability makes them an ideal choice for gravel bikers who want to be confident that their fenders will withstand the test of time.Even if your tire isn’t rubbing on the fenders / mudguards, when the conditions are particularly muddy - and if the clearance isn’t capacious - you’ll end up with a large amount of unwelcome resistance as the accumulating clag acts as a brake on your tire. In particularly muddy conditions, a narrower tire can be the better option, all things considered. strength. Take extra care to fold down the outer edges to make sure your Fendor Bendor is functioning properly. the ‘ fendor-bendor‘ is a foldable rear mudguard, designed by netherlands-based cycling design studio wit industries (founded by dutch designer olaf wit). composed of polypropylene plastic and weighing just 35 grams, the piece snaps easily on and off of bicycle frames, folding up for transport when not in use.
