About this deal

The style essentially starts where Azumanga Daioh left off and evolves from there. Yotsuba's appearance in particular develops between Chapter 1 and, for example, Chapter 27, so that she looks more like a 5-year-old, with shorter, more rounded ponytails. By around Chapter 53, the shape of her eyes have changed still more, along with some of her casual expressions. Yotsuba Kominato has amassed a large fanbase since her debut as an actress. Her talent and charm have won the hearts of numerous fans from all around the world. Yotsuba’s fanbase continues to grow with each new project she takes on.

The name Yotsuba means "four" (四) ( yotsu) and "leaf, plane, lobe, needle, blade, spear, counter for flat things, fragment, piece" (葉) ( ha/ ba). If you’re a fan of Yotsuba Kominato, you’ll be pleased to know that she not only has a stunning physique but also a great talent in acting and modeling. Keep following her career to stay updated with her latest projects and achievements. Yotsuba Kominato’s Net Worth and Current Endeavors Genki Girl: Yotsuba, a cheerful and energetic child. As Asagi puts it, Yotsuba's default mode of travel is running. The humor is also not to be understated. In almost every chapter there was something I found to be truly laugh-out-loud funny. Even better, the humor is really varied: from complex wordplay and situations that set-up before a pay-off, to simple visual gags and one-off jokes. That's not to say it's all smooth sailing, however. Especially if you're a beginner who has yet to venture beyond the textbooks, there are a few things about Yotsuba&! that might trip you up. Different Speech StylesEpisode Finishes the Title: With one exception, the title of each chapter of Yotsuba&! follows the structure of "Yotsuba & [insert word here]". Similarly, Yotsuba repeatedly describes Torako as "cool", and more than once seeks her approval for the coolness of things. In Torako's case, she even has the cool personality to go with the trope. In Chapter 87, Yotsuba draws a picture of Pretty Cure and shows her grandma. She describes it as "fighting with lots of dogs".

When working through a new native source, I've found that it takes pushing through about the first 20% or so before I begin to feel comfortable reading. In the original Try! Try! Try! one-shots, Fuuka (who has a ponytail) is a textbook tsundere with a short temper and a blatant crush on Yotsuba's dad. Azuma reflected on this later, saying that the tsundere personality had become so clichéd that he wanted to do something different, and Fuuka became a more nuanced character in the final manga as a result. The only remnant of her previous characterization is that she commonly gets Not What It Looks Like moments when interacting with Koiwai. Mundane Made Awesome: Everything in Yotsuba's world is awesome, and "today is always the most enjoyable day." From delivering milk, to riding a bike, to going to the supermarket, each trip is like an Odyssey to Yotsuba. Jumbo's Imagine Spot in Chapter 22 has Miura beg her father to go to Magical Land, an amusement park featured in Azumanga Daioh. Painting the Medium: Yotsuba speaks entirely in hiragana, the most basic form of Japanese writing and the only one she can read; everyone else's dialogue has the expected amount of kanji for the shounen audience. Yotsuba also frequently gets a big, loud, bold font that neatly represents how she talks and acts. While cheerful on the outside and towards others, she harbours feelings of inferiority towards her sisters and her own abilities. Because of this, she grew a desire to be different from sisters. She shortened her hair, put on a ribbon and excelled in extra-curricular activities. While portrayed as a bad liar early on, she is later shown to have some skill in lying herself. Long-Runner Tech Marches On: The manga takes place over the course of one year, but since it's been running continuously since 2003, it makes use of a floating timeline to keep it up to date with modern society. As a result, the technology seen throughout the series progresses in step with that of the real world. For instance, Yotsuba visits an electronics store full of flip phones in September, and her father buys a smartphone two months later. Azuma, Kiyohiko (2005). "Chapter 17: Yotsuba & Flowers". Yotsuba&!. Volume 3. ADV Manga. ISBN 978-1-4139-0329-4. The first Yotsuba is a set out of two pieces, since the green pillow Yotsuba is supposed to sit on, comes separately. One side is completely flat, but the other side is moulded to fit her legs; so there is no wobbling around. Her pose on the pillow is absolutely perfect. I know how hard it is to sit like that for a long time; I experienced it during a tea workshop on a farm near Kyoto, where I had to change my sitting position because my legs had gone completely numb. What I absolutely loved about the second volume also applies here: Yotsuba’s head is fully moveable and her sweet expression makes my day!

Ena and Miura help Yotsuba wash Duralumin after being stolen by a dog. They forget that the stuffed bear is supposed to talk and only remember after taking it out of the washer. Despite the early support from her family, Kominato faced challenges in pursuing her dreams of becoming a professional singer. She faced rejection from several talent agencies and struggled to gain a foothold in the industry. However, she remained persistent and continued to work hard to improve her skills. Despite her busy schedule, Yotsuba makes time for her hobbies and her loved ones. Her dedication to her craft and her willingness to take on new challenges have made her a beloved star in the entertainment industry, and her fans can’t wait to see what she’ll do next. Johnston, Chris (June 2005). "Yotsuba&! Volume 1: Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic". Newtype USA. 4 (6): 162. According to sources, Yotsuba Kominato’s height is around 5 feet 6 inches (168 cm) and she weighs approximately 52 kg (115 lbs). Her body shape is considered to be slim with measurements of 32-24-33 inches. As a result of all this, I think Yotsuba&! is best suited for learning how to read in Japanese and building the habit, rather than finding super in-depth study material. In fact, there are very few sentences I would recommend copying from the book for further study, so if your primary goal is something like sentence mining, your best bet is to look elsewhere. In my opinion, reading Yotsuba&! is more about growing confidence and learning you can read and enjoy native Japanese material. What Makes Yotsuba&! Such a Great First Book for Japanese Learners? In summary, Yotsuba Kominato’s figure is one of her most noticeable features and has made her a popular figure in the modeling and entertainment industry.
