About this deal

We’ve mixed American Citra and British Admiral hops to create a full-bodied IPA that’ll get you into the groove this Record Store Day. Baileys Deliciously Light is a new addition to the Baileys line. The goal was to create a product that captures the flavor of Baileys Original Irish Cream with less sugar and calories, and they’ve done just that! The 16.1% ABV expression is recommended served in a number of ways including over ice, chilled, in a smoothie, or with hot, iced or whipped coffee. It is a challenge to provide something alternative to alcohol that doesn’t compromise on taste, and for us to be able to achieve this whilst keeping as much of the distillation process in house as possible, is something we're extremely proud of."

It's a tough job and I've put it off for long enough but it's time to compare the most important factor - the taste. The new Baileys Deliciously Light is the latest innovation from the world’s biggest-selling liqueur brand. Halewood Artisanal Spirits global marketing director Rachel Adams said: “With an extra Bank Holiday and a weekend full of celebrations, the coronation will present a huge sales opportunity for retailers and licensees this May.Without a doubt, one of the best parts of the day is when you can finally take a moment and treat yourself to a much-needed break,” said Harris. “However, many of us forget to do just that. As we ease into 2021, it’s obvious that we all need to take it easy every now and then. Inspired by gin-making principles, First Light boasts flavours of dry juniper, citrus and ginger while the brand’s Midnight Sun serve offers notes of coastal berries, fresh pine and kelp. That’s why I’ve partnered with Baileys to launch Baileys Deliciously Light. To create the triad of new whiskies, the spirit was first matured in American Oak (Quercus Alba) ex-Bourbon Barrels before undergoing a finishing period of approximately 18 months in the different oak varieties. London-based Meantime Brewing Company has teamed up with Record Store Day UK (RSDUK) to create Double Groove (4.7% ABV).The other main difference is in terms of consistency. They're both smooth and delicious but the Light version is a little thinner than the Original. Not enough to be off-putting and it's not like it tastes watery or anything, but there is a definite difference there, although it actually made the Light feel slightly more drinkable in warmer weather. How is that even possible? I wasn't sure but - for science - I was willing to test out their claims by putting the two versions head to head. Look Salcombe Distilling Co. has announced a portfolio of non-alcoholic spirits and aperitifs, New London Light, consisting of three new serves.
