About this deal

Cross ink converters are a bespoke size and cannot be used in any fountain pen manufactured by another brand. The Cross mini ballpoint pen refill is a standard D1 refill that can be used in any brand of pens that take a D1 refill. To fit the Cross push-in style fountain pen converter, unscrew the barrel of the pen and, as the name suggests, push the converter firmly into the front-end section that contains the nib. If you like fineliners then the Selectip porous point refill is ideal because, as the name suggests, it has a traditional fineliner-style fibre tip.

These are made by the U.S based manufacturer Monteverde and the German specialist refill manufacturing company Schmidt and Fisher Space Pens supply a pressurized Cross refill. Monteverde Alternative Cross Classic Ballpoint Pen Refills At the time of writing this, Cross makes three different Selectip refills, a gel rollerball, jumbo ballpoint, and a porous point fineliner. Customer Q&As

It appears that some Cross refills are rebranded as Sheaffer and not the other way round; as in the Sheaffer catalogs, the product codes start with an 8 and are appended SH. Cross Selectip refills will also fit older Sheaffer pens that used to use the same refill known as the Sheaffer C Style refill. Nearly all Cross manufactured products have codes that start with an 8, and nearly all Sheaffer manufactured products have codes that start with a 9. These are not interchangeable, as one pushes into the front-end section of the pen and the other screws into a threaded section of the front end of the pen. If your favourite pen has run out of ink, it's time for a pen refill. With less waste, it's a more eco-friendly and cost-effective solution to replacing your pen completely.

Simply remove the cap of the pen, unscrew the Classic refill, insert the Switch It refill and replace the cap. They can be used to refill any 0.5mm mechanical pencil and are supplied in a tube containing 15 leads. Cross 0.7mm Lead Refills – 8742 Cross Selectip gel rollerball refills use Cross Selectip technology which is just a fancy way of saying that the refill can be swapped out for a different type of Selectip refill.

They can be used to refill any 0.9mm mechanical pencil and are supplied in a tube containing 12 leads. 14. Cross Switch it 0.7mm Pencil Converter Cross-fountain pen ink is not harmful to pens and can be used in any fountain pen with an ink convertor fitted that enables bottled ink.

The converter is a piston fill converter; to use it, simply dip the nib into the bottle of ink and then turn the screw at the end, drawing the ink into the converter’s reservoir. The Cross Push in Style Ink Converter fits the Following Fountain Pens:Ultimately, it does not matter who makes their ink or nibs as long as it is of the quality that you associate with Cross’s products. 12. Cross Ink Converters No alternative Selectip gel, ballpoint or porous point refills are available to buy from any other manufacturer. 7. Cross Selectip Jumbo Ballpoint Pen Refills The great thing about Cross Selectip pens is that even though they have a traditional rollerball fitted, they can be swapped out for a different type of Selectip refill.
