About this deal

The case is mostly okay to assemble and install regarding the power supply and a vertical GPU with the included riser cable, however, the building process can still be rough at times. The case supports only 1 full-height add-on card and the rear case fan must be removed to add most motherboards. This might be a challenge for some users and make the building experience less enjoyable, especially if you have a chunky card like the Zotac GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. The Hyte Y60 supports ATX, MicroATX, Mini-ITX, and E-ATX motherboard form factors. It has no external 5.25-inch bays, 2 internal 3.5-inch ones, no external 3.5-inch ones, 4 internal 2.5-inch bays, and 9 PCI expansion slot positions. The case has a maximum GPU length of 940 mm, a maximum CPU cooler height of 406 mm, and a power supply maximum length of 600 mm. It does not include a fan controller or internal chassis lighting and has dimensions of 45.7 x 28.5 x 46.2 cm and a weight of 9.6 kg. Hyte Y60: Price UK The HYTE Y70 Touch sports a familiar dual-chambered design similar to the Y60, but with added touches to further refine and improve on the original design. The Y70 Touch has increased space between the glass and the vertical PCIe 4.0 riser cable, allowing for more airflow to the GPU. Additionally, this increased space allows for 4-slot GPUs to fit comfortably without sacrificing cooling potential.

The Hyte Y60 is a very quiet case. That can be attributed to the location of the bottom fans, since they’re shoved in the case’s basement, and likely also the glass panels dampening internal noise. I measured the rear exhaust fan using our laser tachometer and it read 1,444 RPM, which is fairly close to the rated 1,500 RPM. Thermal Results for the Hyte Y60 CPU cooler support is limited to 6.3 inches (160mm), which means owners of Noctua’s NH-D15s or Deepcool’s Assassin III will not be able to those chonky coolers. But, with a case like this, wouldn’t you rather show off your RGB-adorned AIO? As we’ll soon see in testing, going with an AIO might be a better choice for temperatures too. The featured fans are Flow FE12 fans, that can operate at speeds of 1300RPM whilst at whisper-quiet noise levels. Thanks to their fluid dynamic bearing, these fans are highly durable with a long lifespan. Two are mounted on the bottom panel and the third is on the rear. The included riser cable is different than most others on that market that are basically just ribbon cables. This cable features a plastic piece at the top of it that mimics the top of the Y60 and is perfectly measured so there’s no excess cable length. The riser cable comes pre-installed, which made installing our motherboard frustrating, as the cable kept hitting the motherboard. This issue can be curbed by unscrewing the riser cable before system installation. But if you’re lazy like me, you’ll have to deal with it. Installation is simple, the touch screen will arrive fully assembled into the case, all you’ll need to do is connect the DisplayPort cable to your GPU and connect the USB 2.0 header to your motherboard once your build is complete. The display itself is powered by connecting the pre-routed SATA power cable to your PSU.The Y70 Touch also features a tool-less design. The top and side panels on the Y70 Touch are secured by clips and pins, allowing for easy access to the internals. Additionally, velcro ties are pre-ran inside of the case and extras are included making cable management a breeze. Additionally, the glass panels are removable, allowing for a hybrid open frame design for maximum cooling potential.

At launch, the Nexus software will feature a customizable home screen. From here, you can set shortcuts to frequently used applications and adjust the position of the widgets. The HYTE Y60 PC Case has been optimised to provide excellent cooling. To eliminate hot spots, it features cold floor cooling, with sweeping lateral vents integrated in the bottom of the chassis. Plus, with extensive ventilation throughout the frame and three pre-installed 120mm fans, the HYTE Y60 has a unique airflow path that will provide ample cooling to a wide variety of components. The HYTE ‘Y70 Touch’ takes familiar design notes from the Y60 and improves on every aspect with upgraded cooling, tool-less panels for easy maintenance, and a large 14.1” touchscreen - all powered by a new version of the HYTE Nexus software. Integrated Touchscreen Touching on the biggest feature is the large, 14.1” touchscreen. It features a 1100 x 3840 resolution display with 283 dpi, a 60Hz refresh rate, and a 10-point multi-touch capacitive screen. For the launch version of the HYTE Nexus software, the widgets include volume control, PC vital information, media control, Twitch chat integration, OBS integration, and more as the Nexus Touch software is further developed. A more streamlined build experience.Hyte was more generous on the GPU side in terms of clearance. This case fits cards up to 14.76 inches (375mm), which means your Asus ROG Strix RTX 3090 or PowerColor Red Devil RX 6900XT should fit here without issue. Included with the case is a matching PCIe 4.0 riser cable, ensuring maximum compatibility with PCIe 4.0 motherboards and a nice way to display your graphics card. Hyte made a bold move by including a PCIe 4.0 riser cable and encouraging vertical GPU mounting. Because often vertically mounting your GPU can have a negative effect on thermals. We’ll figure out how that plays out shortly in the thermal testing section.
