ABBA songs are notoriously easy to sing if you’re a drunk woman on a karaoke stage with a mojito in your hand and a blow-up penis in the other, but us guys can’t hit them notes so easily. Fortunately, if you sing in vibrato – essentially the same pitch as your speaking voice – again, so long as it’s in key you’ll beat everyone and everything this game will throw at you. There’s never really any kind of competition, just how long you can keep it up. As you may have guessed, Let’s Sing 2022 is a karaoke game that boasts a star-studded list of musical greats such as Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Imagine Dragons to old schoolers such as Wham! and the legendary David Bowie!

Personally, we cannot wait to sing along to Eiffel 65’s Blue and early 2000s classic Complicated by Avril Lavigne. As you can see, there’s a great mix of mostly pop songs, but there’s going to be plenty of fun had in trying to sing them all. When you’re measuring a Let’s Sing by the songs it has to offer, things tend to get incredibly subjective. But this is a review, so subjective it is. To our tastes, Let’s Sing 2023 isn’t a patch on Let’s Sing 2022. It feels like the slider has moved way, way over to songs from the past couple of years, rather than a wider timeframe, and we like a broader mix than that. Me (3/5/2021, 11:22:36 AM): Hello, this is the third chat I'm in, it keeps disconnecting so I've switched to a different computer Encanto aside, it does feel like the barrel is being scraped. A little. Certainly in terms of the golden oldies for fuddy-duddies like us, it’s hard to point a finger at Kung Fu Fighting and Avril Lavigne’s Complicated and say that, that is the pinnacle of pre-2020’s music. They each have some fun vocal sections that you’re probably already singing, but we wouldn’t consider them greats. Singleplayer: Fulfill your dream of being a music legend in our Legend mode. Earn stars, beat the bosses and rise to the top!

Due out later this year, the Let’s Sing 2023 song list is already shaping up pretty nicely, including the likes of Coldplay and Lady Gaga. Let’s Sing 2022 is set to release on on 23rd November. As always, it’s coming to PS4, Xbox One and Switch, and for the first time it’ll be getting a native release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, too. That makes it the first next-generation karaoke game, if that’s something worth getting excited about. Me (3/5/2021, 11:47:48 AM): It was around last week, I've been trying to call support since then but I work and call times were high Let’s Sing games are an opportunity to have fun, let your hair down, and probably annoy your neighbours. So as you can see, there’s a gamemode for everyone and while the gameplay is super sturdy and works a treat on both the smartphone app and microphones, the true star of Let’s Sing 2022 is the amazing playlist and kudos to the developers for bringing together a varied and thoroughly entertaining list. Complementing this are the graphics which help motivate the player with the music videos, easy to read words and special effects that makes it feel like you’re part of your very own music video.Let’s Sing ABBA is available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PS4, PS5 (review platform) and Nintendo Switch. Take the stage with current smash hits like ""Bad Habits"" by Ed Sheeran, ""Old Town Road"" by Lil Nas X ft. Billy Ray Cyrus and ""Butter"" by BTS. Or, for the first time ever: Dive into your local Hits from Australia & New Zealand like ""Fly Away"" by Tones & I, ""Solar Power"" by Lorde or ""Everybody Rise"" by Amy Shark. I Have A Dream is not included, which is odd when there are some serious deep cuts for the most hardcore fans including Ring Ring, Summer Night City, The Day Before You Came, Head over Heels and I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do included. Lay All Your Love on Me also isn’t here. Future DLC? Thanks to TikTok that’s very much in the public consciousness these days so it’s a very strange omission. Still, what’s here is exhaustive, and ABBA fans shouldn’t have a thing to complain about here. So I say, thank you for the music. These songs I’m singing. Who could live without it? I ask in all honesty, what would life be without a song or dance what are we? So I say thank you for the music, for giving it to meeeee (in the shape of a review code). From Waterloo, Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, Fernando, Thank You for the Music, SOS, Knowing Me, Knowing You, the bloody brilliant Does Your Mother Know, Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight), Money, Money, Money, Super Trouper, The Winner Takes It All, Voulez-Vous, Chiquitita, Take A Chance on Me and even songs from their 2021’s Voyage album including I Still Have Faith In You are present and correct, and it’s hard to argue that it isn’t a stone cold collection for an indoor karaoke session.Turn your living room into a stage with Let’s Sing! (not compatible with PlayStation®5) Me (3/5/2021, 11:29:55 AM): One feature I saw that was clearly outlined was that I couldn't use a smartphone as a microphone, I'm fine with that If you don’t have a Let’s Sing on the hard drive or on the shelves, though, then the review takes a markedly different tone. Because while Let’s Sing hasn’t received much of an upgrade, and the songs are shruggable, this is an extremely well presented and fully functioning piece of kit. There is even an ‘if it’s not broke, don’t fix it’ argument which holds some water. Whether you're training your voice on your own or hosting the next karaoke party for friends and family – fun is guaranteed with Let’s Sing 2021.
