Sideswipe's instructions aren't clear as to how his torso is supposed to connect with his chest in robot mode. The torso piece has a square peg on top of it and there is a corresponding square hole between the two screws holding the front of his chest together. ICONIC MODES: Figure features classic conversion between robot and licensed Chevrolet Corvette Stingray modes in 19 steps. Perfect for fans looking for a more advanced converting figure. For kids and adults ages 8 and up I have nothing but praise to offer this magnificent action figure. Grindor is extremely accurate to how he appeared in the film. Attention to detail on the figure is amazing. The robot mode's articulation is outstanding; you can get him into all kinds of cool poses as you have him square off against whatever autobots dare try to take him on! Alt mode is similarly spectacular; for me the helicopter invokes much nostalgia due to its excellent accuracy and attention to detail. As for the transformation itself, complex but fun and unbelievably well engineered. I am absolutely blown away at how awesome this figure is. Definitely money well spent and I can safely say that I will be on the lookout for more studio series figures now that I know how well crafted they are! Unfortunately, some copies of Sideways have very loose ankle joints, meaning he can be quite difficult to stand up. This is due to his very thin leg design, as well as most of the figure's mass being included in and around the upper half of Sideways. However, one can use Sideways's gun to help with his stability by having him holding it down to the point where it touches the surface Sideways is standing on.
