And as I’ve said before, I am in awe of just how hard film people work and how dedicated they have to be to bring something to the screen. Unfortunately, Hades doesn’t want anyone to visit Tartarus. I’m sure we’ll also be seeing the god of the Underworld at some point, even if it’s just for a brief moment, either before or after Nico descends into the darkest part of this realm. Nico will likely use the troglodytes to find a way into (and out of) Tartarus safely so he can circumvent his father’s rule. The core is the only place where nuclear fusion reactions can happen. The sun’s other layers are heated from the nuclear energy created there. Protons of hydrogen atoms violently collide and fuse, or join together, to create a helium atom. The line “can a being made of light survive in the darkest part of the world” also lends itself to the theory that Nico may be telling Will to leave the Underworld for his own safety. Of course, Will would never leave Nico behind to deal with this quest on his own, and I imagine this argument and the trials ahead of them will be the reason why their relationship is “tested to the core.”

The book consists of fifty-one unnamed chapters told in the third person from Nico and Will's perspectives. Small Bob appears to have either reformed already or escaped death as Nico and Will find him wandering Tartarus. the characters are flat and inconsistent and the plot is slow and riddled with holes; the pacing is horrible and the structure is all over the place. it’s incohesive and poorly written. this shouldn’t have made it past the editors. i’m not “being miserable” or trying to deny the importance of seeing queer relationships in media. i’m saying this book is simply not good and it’s important to point out why lest all queer rep becomes garbage that gets away with being published for the sole reason that it boasts a queer protagonist. good night. it’s my turn for a dip in the lethe. The solar wind, having traveled billions of kilometers, cannot extend beyond the interstellar medium. the co-author tried to make it funny, but I wasn't laughing like I do with other Riordan's books. the jokes were lame.
