This was my last ditch effort and I was hesitant because of the price. It is worth it if you have a screamer like I do that needs to be held constantly. At first, to be honest, I was skeptical of the app that works with the bassinet thinking there wouldn’t be any need for me to use it when I could easily change the settings on the bassinet itself, however, I was very wrong. Using the app allows me to change the settings easily from my phone without having to risk my son seeing me and waking him up. The app also has a timer to allow you to decide how long you want the motions, music, etc to last. For some babies the motion is only necessary to sooth to sleep while other times it might be more helpful to keep them asleep longer. The bassinet itself is also a great size, not too bulky, fits great into any space, and is easy to move as well. The storage basket at the bottom is a great way to store diapers, wipes, burp clothes, extra clothes, etc for those middle of then night feeds and changes without taking up even more space. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends babies shouldn't be in a swing more than 30 minutes at a time. If your baby falls asleep in the mamaRoo infant seat we recommend moving the baby to a separate approved sleep surface, such as a crib, playard or bassinet. The MamaRoo is a baby swing that offers multiple motions and speeds. Buttons on the base control the motion, speed and sound. The model number is located on the bottom of the unit. This recall includes only MamaRoo models that use a 3-point harness: versions 1.0 and 2.0 (model number 4M-005), version 3.0 (model number 1026), and version 4.0 (model number 1037).
