I turn barefoot in the cold November rain until I sink to the ground dazed and still can't get you out of my mind. Undoubtedly, Absolute is more suited for mature audiences and geared toward men. Personally, I don’t see how a lady would pull this one off. Maybe with more confident personalities, it could work, but that’s up to you to test it out. I have another scent from the Gucci Guilty line, that I am going to post a review of in the very near future, but I wanted to get this one out first. I have been sampling, Guilty Absolute, and wanted to share my thoughts while they were still fresh in my mind. How does this flanker compare to the rest? What does it smell like? Does it perform well? Is it worth a try? Performance wise, this one gives you exactly what you want. It lets itself be known and will last for double digit hours. No complaints at all. I’m not sure the exact length of time, but I’ve noticed it hanging around 12 hours in. Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Homme is a leather woody fragrance for men released in 2017. The perfumer behind this fragrance is Spanish master perfumer Alberto Morillas.

Absolutely astonishing opening that is not for the faint of heart. What impresses me, even more, is how deep and yet airy this actually is. The leather with the vetiver or when the cypress comes in for the final dry down, is great. Dark, smooth, with freshness, and warmth. The fragrance is described as woody leather and includes a new natural raw ingredient known as Nootka cypress along with Goldenwood which is specially selected for this release.Alarm bells burst like fine glass and evil thoughts evaporate from you at every touch. Just smile at my carelessness, I melt like candle wax or burn like a silk scarf... Finally, I got to try the similar scent from Kilian - Dark Lord. The opening of both actually resemble each other. But also only for a minute. Where Guilty is totally linear, the scent of Kilian is really very complex and changes. After a few minutes, the scents no longer have any similarity for me. Wrapped in your mighty apparition we stood there, lonely and ardent with expectation. It was liberating and engaging at the same time to feel your lips on mine, to finally touch you, to give in to what was going on in my mind for so long. Simply delicious. My environment has already made me aware of the fragrance. Why do I smell so funny, it smells somehow like a cow barn or fertilizer. The start is a bit harsh, not my favorite part, but I really enjoy the middle and latter stages. That initial leather, dirtiness of patchouli, and smoke just doesn’t much appeal to me. But, others might like it just fine.

More casual or something you might want to wear more in the evenings. It could be used as a daily wear, provided you go light, and don’t expect something super formal.

This is undoubtedly one of the best leather-based fragrances I have experienced in my life, and this is coming for someone who has tried almost all popular and less popular leather fragrances on the market. But honestly, none have been there yet. I was allowed to get to know many leather fragrances (thanks to the Parfumas) which are good and which I will also still get. But none was like Guilty. Camphoric, dark, medicinal, oily, band-aids, dentist office, barnyards, and more. Everything mentioned could be easily said as an accurate but vague description. Tenderly you took my chin in your hand, forced the kiss of your longing upon me. A light-footed warmth shot through the impenetrable view. This time I dared and tested him intensively on the skin My God, it smells good. Provocative, rough, masculine, just different

Do I like Gucci Guilty Absolute, overall? I do. It’s one that I would only be in the mood for, on occasion, but would completely love it during that time. It’s super leathery, earthy, dirty, dry, and woody.

The same opinion I have with for example Penhaligon’s Vaara which is purely a woman’s perfume, no matter what Penhaligon’s marketing team would like you to believe.
