About this deal

A breath-taking psychological suspense about obsession and dangerous love from TikTok phenomenon and #1 bestselling author ofVerity, Colleen Hoover. It was, but mostly, Too Late was a melodramatic get-together of underdeveloped characters and a ridiculous plot line. so there you have it. how am i supposed to positively rate a book that i really quite enjoyed but dont want to be too generous because there is one major flaw that my conscience wont allow me to overlook? its so much better than 3 stars (its at least a 4), but i personally feel way too guilty with giving anything over that. ughhh.

Too Late by Colleen Hoover is the story of Sloan, a college student in a two-year codependent and abusive relationship with her boyfriend Asa, a drug dealer.Sometimes a relationship is truly tested. How far will these characters go to prove their love for each other? How far apart do they have to fall to realize how much they belong together? What is the point of retreat? How will the decisions the make effect the people around them that they hold near and dear to their hearts? This Girl Like I said, I MOTHERF*& Luke sends Sloan up to bed with Asa against his better judgment, but he knows he has no other choice without blowing his cover to the rest of the people in the house.

Asa uses medication to increase and decrease ankle swelling, enabling him to remove his ankle bracelet and put it on Anthony, the only friend he has working for him, and heads to Sloan and Luke’s apartment. Release Date: The “definitive edition” of Too Late was released on June 27, 2023. It was self-published in various formats throughout the decade beforehand. Also, while Hoover is known for “instant love” stories, this one seemed incredibly fast — even for her. Too Late: A Novel” is one the best and most entertaining novels with a very unique and impressive story. Colleen Hoover is the author of this fantastic novel. Colleen is the author of many beautiful novels. Her most famous novels are Slammed, It Ends with Us, Verity, Ugly Love, November 9, Finding Cinderella, This Girl, Point of Retreat, Losing Hope and many fantastic novels. This novel is also a wise, deep, moving epic by an exceptional writer. The author brings her game A and gives us a mind-blowing story. These characters are unique and refreshing. There are fabulous stand-alone set pieces, engaging characters, glorious prose and a soul-stirring look into the various lives of human.Asa claims he shot the man who was with Sloan during the fake FBI raid in self-defense, and the judge dismisses the case. I liked that Too Late featured Hoover’s fast-paced, to-the-point writing. It is very engaging and moves the story along well. I also am one who finds it interesting to read about subject matter that I don’t have much experience with in real life, so getting a glimpse into the life of a drug dealer was interesting. Asa and Sloan return to the room with Luke. As Sloan screams in panic, Asa shoots Luke in the chest. Sloan is having a baby and she doesn’t know who the daddy is. I hoped it was Luke’s baby. But my hopes and dreams feel when I found out Asa was tampering with Sloan’s birth control pills. Asa wanted Sloan to be pregnant because he figured there was no way she would leave him if they had a baby together.

Sloan goes up to bed with Asa, who is vomiting all over their bed. She calls for help, and Dawson and Luke help her move Asa and change the sheets. Sloan, Dawson, and Luke have a moment of pity for Asa as he sleeps. He comes from a tremendously broken family and, although a psychopath, drug addict, drug dealer, cheater, and girlfriend abuser, he is also a broken person. It should also be noted that fans looking for Hoover’s signature spice may be disappointed, as Too Late only has one non-graphic sex scene. The rest of the sex scenes, although plentiful, can be difficult to read as they involve assault. But, at the same time, he’s introduced to the audience as an undercover DEA agent who, along with his partner Dawson, is on a mission to end Asa’s antics once and for all.)

Ryan, Luke’s partner (previously Dawson for most of the book), shows up at Sloan’s and Luke’s apartment, and when Luke opens the door, Ryan explains that Asa made him come to the apartment. Asa appears and Luke shoots his gun out of his hand. Ryan then shoots each of his legs. He is taken away by cops, and Sloan, Luke, and Ryan are all relieved that these new charges will finally bring him to trial and give him what he deserves. but can all that allow me to forget that i cant stand the way mental illness is portrayed in this and hows its harmfully used as a plot device to further develop a certain character as a villain? i am all for hating characters if they are large pieces of trash and have no redeemable qualities. but i dont know if i can promote, even condone, a story which utilises the actions of an untreated mental illness as a way to get the reader to hate a character. if anything, i just felt sad and sympathetic for them towards the end, hating the way the other characters treated him, instead. The main character Sloan was somewhat annoying for me, which kept the book from getting all the stars. She is trying to take care of a special needs brother, going to college and putting up with a butt-holey boyfriend who is a nut job. Daddy says it’s good for me, though. He says if I want to grow up and be a man, I need to see what a woman look like when she cries. Daddy says a woman’s tears make men weak, and the more I see their tears when I’m younger, the less I’ll believe their lies when I’m older.

Diaries & Calendars

Now, so was this one, and while her other books had riveting plot twists and storylines that drove the story forward for readers keeping them on the edge of their seats, the romance is what many of Hoover’s readers feel attracted to in her books. As an independent American author from Texas, Colleen Hoover came to writing as a hobby, but still something she felt compelled to do. Like most modern working women, she balances her work, her marriage, her two young sons and still finds joy in writing and promoting her own creations.
