About this deal

Feeding any prescription diets as advised by your veterinary surgeon to help prevent further bouts of stones/crystals.

Some breeds of dog are prone to certain types of bladder stones, including; Dalmations, Bichon Frise and Miniature Schnauzers. CystoPro contains an active ingredient derived from cranberries. This active ingredient is a class of antioxidants called Proanthocyanidins (PACs). CystoPro also contains probiotics, prebiotics and N-acetyl D-glucosamine. N-acetyl D-glucosamine is a precursor to Chondroitin sulphate and Keratin sulphate which make up the Glycosaminoglycan (GAG) layer that lines and protects the sensitive bladder urothelium. A strong, resilient GAG layer prevents bacteria from adhering to the urothelial cells. My dog suffered UTI badly for a number of years, one day one of the vets told me about this product CystoPro, I looked into it, bought it and we are now 6months free of UTI, I personally put it down to this amazing product.Composition: N-acetyl D-glucosamine, Mannan-oligosaccharide, Gelatin Capsule, Cranberry ( Vaccinium macrocarpon ), Magnesium stearate. The EU-registered strain Enterococcus faecium (DSM 10663/ NCIMB 10415) 4b1707acts to reduce pathogenic bacteria within the gastrointestinal tract and the faeces thereby limiting bacterial colonisation of the perineum. Probiotic - The EU-registered strain Enterococcus faecium (NCIMB 10415) E1707 acts to reduce pathogenic bacteria within the gastrointestinal tract thereby reducing the risk of ascending UTIs of faecal origin

N-acetyl D-glucosamine - reinforces the structure of the Glycosaminoglycan (GAG) layer that lines and protects the sensitive bladder urothelium. A strong, resilient GAG layer prevents bacteria from adhering to the urothelial cells. Special diet or food additives. Often these are used to alter the urine acidity, reduce the presence of factors needed for stone formation or to encourage drinking to help dilute the urine. This will discourage the formation of urinary stones or dissolve small ones already present. The diet required will depend on the kind of stones found in your dog and your veterinary surgeon can talk through options and make recommendations. A Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), can make it uncomfortable for a dog to pass urine. The most common cause for straightforward cystitis in dogs is a bacterial infection. However, similar signs may be seen with urinary stones and crystals, bladder inflammation, incontinence due to excessive water consumption or a weak bladder, kidney disease, cancer, stress, spinal cord disease, prostate disease or an abnormality in the urinary tract from birth.Mannan-oligosaccharide (MOS) - created from purified yeast cell walls, MOS is commonly used as a prebiotic to support intestinal microflora. The EU-registered strain Enterococcus faecium (DSM 10663/ NCIMB 10415) 4b1707 acts to reduce pathogenic bacteria within the gastrointestinal tract and the faeces thereby limiting bacterial colonisation of the perineum. My Vet put me onto this after my dog became antibiotic resistant through too many Uti's, best thing since as it has been a real health changer for my pug. Proanthocyanidins (Type A PACs):Proanthocyanidins are naturally occurring powerful antioxidants extracted from the North American cranberry. Type A PACs have an anti-adhesion affect, this means they help to reduce the ability of certain bacteria to attach to the bladder lining. Regularly providing fresh drinking water is essential for all causes. It helps to flush away any bacteria and dilute the urine.

N-acetyl D-glucosamine - N-acetyl D-glucosamine is a precursor to Chondroitin sulphate and Keratin sulphate which make up the Glycosaminoglycan (GAG) layer that lines and protects the sensitive bladder urothelium. A strong, resilient GAG layer prevents bacteria from adhering to the urothelial cellsLactic acid production– probiotics produce lactic acid which acts to reduce the gut pH, inhibiting the growth of pathogenic bacteria, which prefer a more alkaline environment. Pain relief. Cystitis in dogs can be very painful. Often vets will prescribe an anti-inflammatory pain killer to help manage the pain. Sometimes stronger painkillers, by injection, are required. Enterococcus faecium PXN 33 acts to reduce pathogenic bacteria within the gastrointestinal tract and the faeces thereby limiting bacterial colonisation of the perineum.
