About this deal

Cast zinc is pretty standard through the fishing reel industry within the median range reels. The main difference with the Daiwa BG, versus other reels in this price range, is that the main gear is so much larger which should provide greater durability. Here are some fine fixed spool reels from the late 1970s. From Daiwa's Silver range the 1050 (also attributed to the more budget Popular range) which is a smallish medium spinning reel and the 4000C which is a quite large spinning/sea reel (though not actually the largest in the range). The Silvers sold very well, especially in the USA. The BG 4000 has a line capacity of 300 yards of 12 lbs monoline or 280 yards of 30 lbs braided line. No! It’s not necessarily essential to use a special rod. One can use any spinning rod but one thing to keep in mind is that they must be saltwater or corrosion-resistant to have the best possible experience. Wrapping up!

Drag/clutch: An adjustable tensioning system that allows a hard-fighting fish to pull an additional line from the reel instead of breaking the line. The more you spend on a reel, the lighter it will be and the smoother the drag you will get. You will also expect better line lay, which aids casting range. Glossary The BG is designed with a line lay that is top-heavy. Daiwa believes that it provides a longer distance when casting we agree that does seem to be the case. It has a smart offset design that’s very convenient to adjust. If you’re night fishing or can’t see the reel and you’re fighting a fish you can’t miss the drag with the big cap on top of the reel. A 5kg drag provides the pulling power you need, while infinite anti-reverse allows for complete line control. The Daiwa BG 4000 is a powerhouse of a reel which has the capacity and strength to deal with virtually any fish you are likely to hook in the UK, and a good few overseas as well.

Ask a second person to place a pencil through the hole of the spool and use a cloth to add friction to the spool to stop it spinning out of control whilst you wind it onto the reel. is the perfect size with most manufacturers' reels, but a smaller 3000 might match lighter rods and finer lines in some models. Daiwa 22 Exist LT 4000D G Reel. The future of Daiwa Spinning Reels is AIRDRIVE DESIGN. By reducing the weight of rotor, spool & bail assembly, a lighter rotation is achieved. The effortless rotation allows the angler to feel the true joy of trouble free function. This new chapter starts with 22 EXIST.This seal works incredibly well at providing great protection from water and in particular, saltwater from getting inside and causing corrosion inside of the reel. The reel's front drag is another noteworthy addition. Designed with exceptional control in mind, the front drag system is finely tuned, allowing anglers to adapt to rapidly changing conditions. Adjust the tension on your line effortlessly and capture your prize, whether it's a spirited trout or a brawny carp.

The body frames appear to be the exact same size and there is only a fraction of an ounce difference in weight. The cold-forged Tough Digigear drive gear has been completly re-designed to cope also with the hardest strains during heavy and frequent fishing. The smooth rotation will remain smooth for the lifetime under normal fishing conditions. The gearing noise during retreive is virtually eliminated to the lowest level and will support you in concentrating on your fishing.

A damp cloth and warm water should be enough. Although reels are designed to be as watertight as possible, keep their exposure minimal, as any that gets inside will rinse lubricants from the reel. An old toothbrush can be useful too. The design of the spool actually goes out from the bottom and tapers up. This is intentional by design to create a top-heavy spool. Built around an aluminium body the Digigear II drive is held solidly in place under loading, maintaining a smooth power transfer and winding feel. This is enhanced further by the presence of 6BB and the graphite Air Rotor. Line release during the fight is also smooth thanks to the ATD with carbon washers. The spinning must have greater stability and lighter weight with the well-manufactured reel. The lightweight spinning reel is always preferred. Mostly the reels are made up of aluminum, graphite, magnesium, or a combination of them. Aluminum is strong than graphite. Graphite is a light weighted and more reliable material. But strength is an important factor, so strength is preferred sometimes overweight. In saltwater, graphite is important than aluminum due to the corrosion-resistance ability of graphite. Magnesium also doesn’t work in saltwater. Try to look for the best option with all qualities. All important Drag system If you’ve been seriously fishing over the last 20 to 30 years chances are you’ve used this reel or even owned it.

Another great feature of the BG’s spool is the line capacity rings. These rings are a great addition when you’re fighting a large fish as they give you an approximation of how close you are to the centerline of the spool. The size of a reel is usually identified by a number, the higher the number, the bigger the reel. This is useful to know, as although a 10,000-sized carp fishing reel may be good for fishing on smaller lakes, it likely won't have the spool size and therefore casting capability of a 'big pit' carp fishing reel, for example.
