Easihold is perfect for stones 4mm to 10mm in diameter. Larger stones can still be bonded successfully, up to 20mm, but the strength is reduced for larger stones and so we wouldn't recommend for walking on. Each bag of decorative stones covers 1m2 at 15mm. The decorative stones contained in this bundle are washed, dried and screened to work perfectly with the Easihold stone binder. Prior to being treated with the binder, the stones appear lighter from the drying process. Guaranteed Great Results - Follow the instructions on the leaflet you'll receive with your bottle. Don't over saturate your stones / mulch, use at the advised coverage rate and ensure conditions are dry. Doing this will allow you to achieve fantastic results every time! You can buy suitable stones in most DIY shops, but we have our own range of fantastic 4 to 6mm decorative stones for use with Easihold.

Sometimes pouring and spraying can risk splashing your paving, or surrounding areas. In these circumstances you can mix Easihold with your stones until they’re evenly coated – usually 0.8 L to 1L of Easihold is enough for 1x 25kg bag of stones and 1x5 Litre can cover 6m² using hand-mix (6x bags of 25kg stones @20mm depth).The mixing method leaves the strongest finish - guaranteeing the stones are evenly coated throughout. The Pour On method is the easiest, requiring just a watering can and away you go! We recommend to use up to a maximum of 1 litre per 1.2m² and 1x5 Litre Jerry can covers 6-8m² using Pour On Method per coat.
Easihold is perfect for use on new or existing stones. Dirt and silt deposits ought to be washed off prior to application - and ensure the weather conditions are good for the 48 hours post application. For those preferring to use a watering can, ensure there is a fine rose head fitted to the spout before applying. It’s then a simple task of pouring some of the ready-to-use EasiHold resin into the can before applying it to the gravelled surface. The 1 litre sprayers are ready-to-use without any further preparatory work. When working with the larger containers, a required amount of the EasiHold liquid resin can be decanted into a simple sprayer or a basic watering can, topped-up as and when necessary. The EasiHold resin comes in a variety of container sizes First, you spread the selected gravel or aggregate. Then you spray it with the EasiHold. Then…errr…that’s it! Job done. There is no more to do. C’est finis!The shelf life of Easihold unopened is 12 months. Once opened, we would recommend to keep it in a cool, dry storage place. This is a DIY friendly bundle. Mix a little at a time to suit your needs. The working time is 1 hour, and it is possible to re-seal the Easihold tub and use at a later date. Easihold is air drying so it is important that you do not over-saturate the area being treated. Leave the first coat to dry for 24 hours or until fully dry before applying a second coat. Note: laying loose, that is *unbound*, gravel or small aggregate over a hard base is never a good idea. Read the FAQ to find out more. This project is using, or will be using, a *bound* gravel, so laying over a form base is acceptable. Placing the Gravel: Spraying Easihold limits penetration into the base layer of the stones. Great for achieving a larger coverage but this method won’t provide as robust a surface finish. We would recommend this application method for decorative use only.
Easihold can be spray applied using a standard airless sprayer. For the spray application, you can double the coverage area of 1 litre of Easihold – covering up to 2.8m² per coat and 1x5 Litre Jerry can cover 12-14m² using Spray On Method per coat.
