About this deal

It all started with an idea. That idea turned into a quest. A quest to create a better alternative to the dreaded hospital gown. It had to be soft. It had to provide ample coverage. It had to allow room for monitor lines, IVs, casts, ports, and all the other things that can make a hospital stay uncomfortable; yet not be too bulky. It had to be functional. For younger aged patients, it had to be fun! For older patients, it had to be timeless. Doctor Ben Briely is keen to settle into life as a small town general practitioner and help his grandmother run Briely Park. The city life was never for him. He’s finally found the peace he’s longed for, until the arrival of that one woman he’s never been able to forget, threatens to shatter it all. No way is he revisiting that road of unrequited love…except Holly Peterson seems fragile and in need of saving, and Ben’s never stopped being Holly’s white knight. Yet, Mrs. Briely does cause not one bit of trouble or try to talk to Holly at all while she and her nephews were dating, doctor grandson, Ben. Who she raised after her son and daughter-in-law were killed in a car accident. There doesn't seem to be an upcoming book in The Holly's Heart Series. The newest book is Its a Girl Thing and was released on October, 1st 2003. Beverly started first writing short stories and poetry when she was just nine years old. Much of her writing focuses on the faith. Her father was a pastor for the Assemblies of God community in Lancaster, Pennsylvania where she grew up. She was raised in that faith and continues to serve it today.

The main thing I wanted to do was get her into more colour – so we tried everything on and went from there. I remember her saying, 'I’ve had my kids. I just need to change it up.'" Read more: Holly's bathroom scene was hilarious. It's totally something I would do if I ever tried what she did. I liked Stan much better in this book, and I even liked Andie a bit better. I am very glad that Jared was not actually doing anything wrong, but I can't say I wasn't curious about Sean either. I like how the relationship between Holly and her stepmother changes. Her dad reading the classic Christmas story--Jesus' birth--was also a nice addition. The adult involved did not generally reciprocate feelings, however the last line in the book is something to the effect of, “Maybe we’ll connect in four years” (when Holly is 18!). This is highly inappropriate. Opening up about Holly’s changing style, Angie previously told the Daily Mail: "Holly was open to new ideas. The Trouble With Weddings--Holly's mother is getting married and Holly is determined to make her mother's wedding the best thing ever, even when her mother states she doesn't want a flashy wedding. She is also getting annoyed with Danny, who has been very preachy and controlling lately. When she discovers her first crush, Jared, still likes her, she can't help but be suspicious. So suspicious that she decides to test him. It felt fantastic to be home. He’d never thought the town would grow enough to sustain a general practice, but here he stood about to open his own business.

I liked how Holly wanted to make her mother's wedding beautiful. I loved that her uncle wanted to include the cat in the wedding as well. As much as I liked Danny before, he was very preachy and controlling in this book and it got on my nerves almost as much as it got on Holly's. I was cautious about Jared but glad to see how caring he is. Holly continues to grow. I didn't care too much for Stan until toward the end, though. You can definitely see Andie's rebelliousness in this book. I did feel terrible that Stan let his friend make those remarks about her, but was glad that he apologized in the end. I really like Holly and Sean together. I loved the way Beverly Lewis used Holly's father to bring his wife to God, and how Saundra used her new "prayer list" to announce her surprise anniversary trip to him. I wasn't sure if Holly's dad was honestly going to make it, but am glad that he did. I am also glad that Andie, despite how little I care for her most of the time, didn't make any big mistakes with Rico. Dr Holly Peterson marvelled at the way the coffee shop’s clientele had continued to expand in the three months since she’d arrived to take over her late sister’s enterprise. Of course, she too could make the excellent coffee that Wirralong, and especially the city guests, now expected. She just hadn’t expected to be solvent while doing it. I was disappointed that there wasn't any reconciliatory scene between Holly and Ben's grandmother considering she'd changed for the better and that she'd even given permission through Ben for Holly to use her property for the camp. The epilogue however was shown through her eyes and it isn't surprising to see that the twins have stolen her heart and she's looking forward to being a grandmother to them. We also get to see the couples from the previous books in the series, which was my missing in Elsa's stand - my only peeve with that book. As is the case with all of Beverly Lewis books, she has once again managed to put a great emphasis on the cultural-importance of books such as Best Friend, Worst-Enemy, considering the fact that she has discussed the struggles of overcoming a broken home and learning to live with a merged family and also growing-up Godly.

Set in Colorado, Holly and Andie her best friend all have a crush on Jared. However, in anticipation of such scenarios, the two had come up with rules to follow. Throughout Best Friend, Worst Enemy, author Beverly Lewis uses extremely great characterization and the readers get to see the growth in the extremely beautiful girl, Holly. As expected, Best Friend, Worst Enemy is an excellent foundation for what promises to be an excellent book series. Overall, Best Friend, Worst-Enemy has been brilliantly written. Will Ben be able to break through Holly’s fears and barriers or will history repeat itself and destroy him once again? As well as Holly, she also chooses outfits for the likes of Rochelle Humes, Laura Whitmore and Christine Lampard. I felt very sympathetic for Holly in this book. I had to move three times during my young life, and even though I enjoyed a change, sometimes it was hard leaving behind everything that you knew, including friends. I felt that Holly's stepfather and mother should have been a little more gentle with this news of moving after she almost lost her cat in the last book. I am glad things worked out in the end, though!

One of the books in this set entirely revolved around the plot of 14yo Holly having a crush on an adult teacher. While language used and actions displayed were generally age appropriate, this plot was highly uncomfortable and generally out of character for this series. Second-Best Friend: It's nearly Holly's fourteenth birthday and she has a lot to worry about. One, her new step-dad is allergic to her cat, Goofey, so she must find a new home for him. When she finds a temporary home that results in a visit to the vet, she is even more stresses about her beloved pet. Two, her best friend, Andie, seems to be neglecting her in favor of a foreign exchange student who seems snooty and determined to keep Andie for herself. Worse, this new girl likes to play pranks, and not always the funny kind. Three, Holly is finding herself constantly angry at Paula, the girl who tried to go after her boyfriend and is now after her cat. Holly just can't seem to get away from her! What is she supposed to do about everything going on in her life? Now, shattered over deaths of ppl close to them, they've both returned to their hometown. Unable to function properly after the tragic death of her patient two weeks after the death of her beloved younger sister in an accident that brought her orphaned six-year old twin nephews into her care, Holly decides to take a break from medicine and opens her sister's coffee shop at Wirralong to help supplement her savings. Four months later, there's news that the local doctor surgery is being opened & Ben is taking over as GP. She doesn't know how she's going to face him after her past treatment of him. The elite investigative team has been launched with lots of fanfare. Because the governor has made the task force a priority in the state, the team members have no option but to deliver results. Evie and Davie Marshal, her new partner, are assigned numerous unrelated cases in Chicago. While both of the cases involved missing persons, there is a possibility that the new cases would somehow be related. With an extremely deep conviction that justice for all truly matters, both Evie and David are inexorable in their search. What Is The Next Book in The Holly's Heart Series?

As for Holly’s Heart, Holly and Ben both have had tragic events in their lives. While these are defining factors in their lives, they have managed to live with grace and purpose. I liked that about them. Also I like the focus that was on the twins, as well as how the Ben and Holly found such a positive balance for the four of them. The big surprise was Ben’s grandmother. Even she helped to keep this story heartwarming. I wish we could have know her husband, Ben’s grandfather. Perhaps we did a little since he must have been a lot like Ben. Dr Ben Brierly twirled his wide-brimmed Akubra on one finger as he surveyed the empty consulting rooms. Wirralong Family Doctors Surgery. His!

Best Friend, Worst-Enemy has been written from the 1st person POV. Therefore, author Beverly Lewis has given the readers great insight into the feelings and emotions of Holly. Furthermore, the book captures the readers’ heart and in the process takes them on an emotional journey.Straight-A Teacher--This was a very interesting book. In this book, Holly falls for her new student teacher. She's also been cast to play the lead role in the play that he's in charge of. I liked the way this one played out in the end and was surprised that this topic was even approached. I approve. Furthermore, Holly knows that this will be the ideal time for witnessing to her father about God’s love. Holly plans to use her holiday to forget about Jared, who happened to be her two-time crush. However, the only problem is that no one wants Holly to leave her hometown including her mother, her best friend, and her younger sister.
