About this deal

There are numerous varieties of chillies available in India. India is the worlds largest producer and consumer of chillies. We eat a lot of chillies. I have just compiled the most popular ones that I have used and come across. Taeyangmeans sun in Korean, and taeyangcho (or taeyang-cho) gochugaru refers to sun-dried Korean chilli peppers. Whereas standard gochugaru may be industrially heat dried. Coarsely ground gochugaru is used for kimchi and other dishes such as stews and soups. And finely ground gochugaru makes the best gochujang. Gochugaru vs Gochujang

No Red Chilli Powder is more spicy and does not give color whereas Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder gives color and is less spicy. If you are using just kashmiri red chilli powder for a recipe then you need to add more to get the perfect hotness to the dish. 4.Is Paprika same as Indian Red Chilli Powder? It’s worth noting that while Kashmiri red chilli powder does provide some heat, it is generally milder compared to other varieties of chili powders. This makes it suitable for individuals who prefer less spicy foods or those who want to enjoy the flavor without overwhelming heat. How Hot Is Kashmiri Chilli Pepper? Kashmiri peppers are usually available dried as whole peppers. In this form, they appear to be wrinkled and shriveled up. But despite that, they are super bright and red in color, its vibrancy indicative of its strong taste and spice. They are relatively small and round, but retain that typical, elongated chili shape. What Are Kashmiri Chilies Used For?Transfer just little to a small container for everyday use and fill it up whenever needed. This way it stays fresh for a long time. Red Chilli Powder is made by dry roasting a combination of red chillies which includes regular red chillies and kashmiri red chillies, cooling it down completely then grinding it fine. 2.What is Red Chilli Powder made of? No raisin version: You can skip the raisin if you intend to serve it with roti or rice. This will make it a more curried taste without having sweet tones.

Homemade Red Chili Powder is not only free from chemicals and colors, it is fresh more flavorful and aromatic. I make red chili powder in bulk which lasts me for about 4-5 months. Usually I sun dry / dry roast red chilies in bulk and give to mill for grinding and store it. This time I made a small batch so tried in my mixer itself and to my surprise it came out so good and that justifies this post. Pul biber (made from Aleppo pepper flakes) is the best substitute for hot gochugaru, and Indian chilli powder ( Kashmiri chilli powder) is best for mild gochugaru. If you don’t love spicy food, you can reduce the heat of your dish by using sweet paprika and adding as much heat as you can tolerate with cayenne pepper, one small pinch at a time.

However the question is why should you use Kashmiri chilli powder instead of other chillies and can you use regular chili powder instead of Kashmiri?
