Somehow, this optic makes a pretty perfect large-size hotspot, with a distinct edge. It’s larger than most traditional, reflector-based, flashlights. This is something unique, and different from the Warrior M2R PRO.

The included Olight 18650 3500 mAh tailored lithium-ion battery is specially designed and only this battery can be charged within the torch. The battery is recharged inside the torch using the included MCC3 magnetic charging cable. While the Warrior Mini 3 doesn’t seem to necessarily shut off with low voltage protection, the switch does give an indication that the cell voltage is low. Charging As with the majority of Olight torches – charging occurs directly through the tail cap using Olight’s signature magnetic charging cable. Specification MODE For waterproofness, Olight includes 1 o-ring near the tailcap, close to the threads. The threads are anodized and well lubricated.

All edges are smooth and chamfered, including the bezel this time. So there are sharp edges or anything. The anodization on my copy is a beautiful gunmetal grey covering most parts of the flashlight, excluding the tail switch, and bezel. The reflector is smooth and is supposed to push the maximum beam intensity up to 78,000 cd, and I’m sure to test that!

The build quality of the Warrior 3 is always top-notch, just like we are used to from Olight. For high-output lights, one of the lux meters uses an ND camera filter to prevent the lux meter to max out. This is either the Kenko PRO1D ND16 up till about 80,000 lumens or Gobe ND32 for anything above. Overal, the Mini 3 has a high quality finish with a beautiful matte coating on my version. It is and will be available in multiple colors, so if your favorite color is not available, wait a bit longer, and they are likely adding a few new colors, and perhaps even materials (like copper or titanium).
