About this deal

same on slann, lost +1 to cast of asterysm and comet, and not being able to garrison on our scenography anymore. I had some awesome pink and white ink I had bought and nothing to use it on… so I figured let’s do pink Skinks! The skin is done using thinned out Volupus Pink and then a second layer with unthinned the same paint is used on the scales after the first layer dries.

This is the latest from what both Warhammer TV and Warhammer Community had to say about them, along with our commentary on it as well! Bone compliments well with the purple scales of the Saurus and I loved the idea of the head plate being actual bone. Unthinned Skeleton Horde worked great for this. There are some pretty ornate details on the model, and it should float reasonably high above the rest of your lizards. If you want more magic, you can’t go wrong with this. Skink Star Less Maintenance –Seraphon were an army notorious for having a ton of “At the start of the Hero Phase…” abilities to remember. No more, now you can get into the action a lot faster. The new book carries on the spirit of that, but it feels a lot less cruel about it. Seraphon are still apex casters, solid ranged, and arguably better at melee than they were before, balancing the scales quite a bit. It still has that feeling of organizing a complex machine into an engine of destruction, and the new options granted actually give more ways to go about it than ever before. Whether you like the wise Slann, the crafty Skinks or brutish Saurus, there is a path to victory laid out for you. This unit can buff casting rolls and range for nearby Seraphon Wizards in addition to granting neaby Seraphon units a 6+ ward save. Remember this units is a cosmic node in a Starborne army too so is a very useful Warscroll. GW just keeps the new Seraphon models coming! This is an excellent time to be a Seraphon fan, as they are getting one of the biggest reworks we’ve seen in a while for AoS. best thing about book are the best miniatures in all aos. and that haters shouldnt cry anymore about we being op. In contrast to Starborne, Coalesced are more physical bruisers. Their buffs favor Saurus and monsters, but you still want to bring along Slann and Skinks for spellcasting support. Battle Traits Predatory Fighters

In addition, you also receive a point for each spell cast and each enemy spell you unbind or enemy endless spell you dispel. Which basically just makes it better Tzeentch, not punishing you for unbinding enemy spells.

That Gobbo’s Method

The Earth Trembles –This spell can be cast in a straight line to inflict mortal wounds to enemy units in its path.

Skink Priest –Presumably because the model was old and it was hard to give it something to do with the hero heavy book. Can always proxy the model as a Star Priest. Nothing fancy for the metal of the spear, I used my usual Vallejo Mecha Color Steel for this. Similar with the various trinkets and trim I used Retributor Gold as it’s a nice easy gold paint staple. I’m really impressed with both the Battletome and new model range we get in the new Seraphon Army Set. The army itself I think will certainly be able to hold its own on the tabletop with some very strong synergies between the different Warscrolls and wider army abilities. Seraphon have powerful tools to use in each phase of the game and will be a very mobile, resilient and powerful force on the battlefield. I’m especially excited to play around with the various buff/debuff mechanics that the Seraphon have access to, shutting down powerful enemy units by reducing their rend or making it much more difficult for them to score wounds for example. Drain Magic is another excellent buff considering you’re going to have so many spell casters, and Tepok’s will really help with the new Skink calvary and keeping them alive. Lastly, it’s nice you can get Comet’s Call again to smash the enemy!

MATCHED PLAY

something on the other hand I still consider somewhat toxic is the fact that slann have an unlimited range of unbinding spell. Starborne armies also gain access to Cosmic Power which is essentially an enhanced summoning mechanic. Throughout a game you will have the opportunity to amass cosmic power points (CPP) which you can spend to summon new units to the battlefield or spend on useful effects. There are different ways to generate CPP, such as each time a friendly Starborne Wizard successfully casts or unbinds a spell or dispels an Endless Spell. Each of your Starborne Wizards and Astrolith Bearers will also generate a single CPP in each Hero Phase. These units, alongside the Realmshaper Engine, are also designated as cosmic nodes and are the focal point for the powers you’ll activate by spending the CPP you have acumulated. In the Hero Phase you’ll be able to spend your CPP to do the following :- Starlight Summons– Power 13+ (3 mortal wounds for failure). You get to summon 10 Saurus Warriors or 20 Skinks. You’ll see this big yellow chap very much sets the theme for how I’ve painted everything else in this box. Saurus Warriors
