About this deal

Sutton is such an angel. She's so sweet and innocent but in a kind, good-hearted way. She, too, deserves better than this world could ever give her, which makes her absolutely perfect for Charlotte. (Maybe I'm better suited, actually, but whatever.) She's honest, so caring and she's currently studying english literature at uni. Not only that, but she also has moments of her own when she's in the more commanding position over Charlotte, which were, just mmm. I loved both main characters, Sutton is lovely and earnest but in an enchanting way, not in a boring way at all. Charlotte is driven but unknowingly sweet. I felt her pain deep and had to stop at times to remember to breathe. If I had to let go of the person I love more than life itself, I would probably become so hard I’d be no use to anyone. I’m so glad Charlotte wised up before it came to that. And I loved how Sutton – once she got over some miscommunication at the start of their relationship – understands Charlotte in a way no one else does. Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing” ( Isaiah 40:26).

Although most individuals consider patience to be a passive, waiting, or gentle tolerance, most Greek words translated as “patience” in the New Testament are active, vigorous words. Consider, for example, Hebrews 12:1: “Therefore, since such a great cloud of witnesses surrounds us, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”

Waiting Is a Good Thing

but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Charlotte’s hands slid to cup her jaw lightly, thumbs brushing her cheeks. “Darling, take a deep breath for me.””

the use of sutton’s full name and just?? and if i’m remembering correctly there was so much sexual tension at this part like damn And the Lord will again wait, that he may pity you, and will therefore be exalted that he may have mercy upon you: because the Lord your God is a judge: blessed are they that stay themselves upon him. Whenever we think of how Christians “should” deal with times of uncertainty, we conjure up a picture of stoicism and simultaneous holy joy. Plus a thriving prayer life and complete trust in God. but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Rather than a complete lapse of control, Charlotte leaned forward again. But paused when she felt Sutton eagerly lean in as well. She could feel Sutton's breath against her cheek, and she closed her eyes, as she whispered, "You are such a smart woman, Sutton, but so wrong."I can't belabor enough how this book just does it for me. The chemistry, the politics, the necessary side characters, the humor, the quotables. God, of course Sutton blushed like that. In another situation, Charlotte might have found it cute. Actually, she did find it cute. One might use this phrase when talking about anything from relationships to economics. For example, if one friend was interested in starting a relationship with a new crush, another might remind them that “good things come to those who wait” and that the relationship is going to better if you’re friends first. I will wait for the LORD, who is hiding His face from the house of Jacob. I will put my trust in Him.
